• You will independently own workstreams in our M&A processes, investor communications and key strategic initiatives for the CEO, CFO and Advisory Board. • M&A sourcing & pipeline management: maintain and further develop our M&A pipeline, perform structured evaluations of new targets, and conduct outreach and banker calls. • Project management for acquisition processes: manage the due-diligence and legal documentation streams — including independently conducting Commercial Due Diligence, from analysis to the final decision paper for management and the Advisory Board. • Responsibility for post-closing integration planning and the PMO — including tracking value levers, synergies and milestones. • Corporate Finance: support the structuring and execution of our acquisition financings (equity and debt) in close collaboration with our CFO. • Investor Relations: professional management of our shareholder group — including monthly investor reporting and communication to our Advisory Board. • Strategy & CEO/CFO support: independently handle strategic special projects for the CEO and CFO — e.g., market-entry and portfolio questions, make-or-buy cases, and preparation of decision papers and presentations for our shareholders. • AI enablement: actively use and further develop our AI workflows in analysis, reporting and presentations. • Mentoring: provide technical leadership and onboarding for our working students and interns in the team.
Job Requirements
- At least 2–4 years of professional experience in investment banking (M&A), private equity, a startup, strategy consulting, transaction services or a comparable function.
- A very good degree in economics, finance, industrial engineering or another quantitative discipline.
- You work analytically and strategically, quickly grasp complex issues and translate them into clear storylines — both in writing and in management-ready presentations.
- You have strong numerical skills and a good command of Excel — you structure complex calculations cleanly and produce decision-ready materials.
- You communicate confidently with external stakeholders (advisors, targets, shareholders), run meetings independently and represent AlphaPet professionally externally.
- Ownership & pragmatism come naturally to you: you take responsibility for your workstreams, prioritise by impact (80/20 where sensible, depth where mission-critical) and bring proposed solutions to blockers.
- AI-savvy & hands-on: you actively use AI tools (e.g., Claude) to boost efficiency and quality and help drive the further development of our AI workflows.
- Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
