Infrastructure Engineer, Red Hat Enterprise Linux

• Develop and operate an integrated RHEL server platform supporting enterprise workloads across virtualised infrastructure • Test and certify new versions of the RHEL operating system, build system images, and maintain image hygiene over time • Provide integration between RHEL and VMware to deliver a cohesive, well governed virtualisation layer • Integrate and support management and security software, tooling and configurations across the RHEL estate • Integrate RHEL services with MFA solutions and broader enterprise identity controls • Build and maintain server automation to streamline provisioning, configuration and deployment • Operate backup and recovery services for virtualised RHEL systems, including regular testing of recovery procedures • Run system health checks across hardware and software, maintain operational procedures, and contribute to availability management and disaster recovery • Troubleshoot and resolve complex RHEL issues, and plan and deliver server migrations when required

Job Requirements

  • You must hold a current PV (Positive Vetting) security clearance and be an Australian citizen to be considered for this role
  • Demonstrated hands on experience deploying, operating and integrating Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) at enterprise scale
  • Strong working knowledge of VMware integration, RHEL system image creation, and OS version testing and certification
  • Experience automating server provisioning, configuration, backup and recovery across virtualised Linux environments
  • SFIA Level 4 capability across IT infrastructure, availability management and systems installation, with the judgement to operate under limited supervision
