Role Description As a Sr. Infrastructure Architect at Mohawk Industries, you will be responsible for: - Strategic design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT infrastructure environments. - Managing VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter, focusing on complex version upgrades, performance optimization, and high availability. - Designing scalable VMware environments, including vSAN and NSX-T, and managing virtual networking, SAN Solutions, and advanced storage systems like PowerMax and XtremIO. - Overseeing certificate management, advanced performance troubleshooting, and disaster recovery planning using tools such as VMware SRM and Zerto. - Handling capacity planning, resource management, and security compliance within the infrastructure. - Configuring and maintaining Cisco UCS systems and fabric switches, developing automation scripts using PowerShell and Python, and coordinating with third-party vendors as needed. - Leading troubleshooting efforts, developing and implementing disaster recovery strategies, and continuously reviewing and recommending technological improvements to support organizational goals. - Ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of the infrastructure while mentoring team members and managing tasks independently. - Working with converged (e.g., VxBlock) and hyper-converged technologies (e.g., VxRail, SolidFire) to develop and implement tailored solutions. - Architecting, designing, and implementing storage solutions using PowerMax, VMAX, XtremIO, Unity, ScaleIO, VNX, Isilon, and Pure Storage. - Configuring Cisco UCS systems from initial vendor-provided setups to production-ready configurations. - Using API scripts and tools to manage orchestration, ensuring consistent methodologies across UCS instances. - Performing basic and advanced activities on Cisco MDS fabric switches, including configuration, firmware upgrades, zoning (smart and traditional), performance analysis, and hardware replacements. - Setting up and managing storage-based replication technologies such as SRDF, RecoverPoint, and XtremIO native replication. - Demonstrating advanced expertise in setting up and managing SRDF-Metro, SRDF/S, and SRDF/A across multiple data centers. - Researching and analyzing advanced storage/SAN features and implementing them to enhance the environment as needed. - Developing and executing disaster recovery strategies, coordinating with internal and external teams to perform scheduled DR tests. - Coordinating with third-party vendors for day-to-day support activities as necessary. - Evaluating and recommending alternative technologies and improvements to support organizational goals and presenting findings to senior management. - Creating and automating infrastructure-related activities while mentoring team members in automation practices. - Developing scripts for automating routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, and other relevant scripting languages. - Leading troubleshooting and recovery efforts during outages or complex issues, including performance and functionality problems. - Managing and completing tasks and projects independently within established timelines. - Providing operational support and participating in on-call rotations as required. Qualifications - Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a directly related field of study. - 6 years of combined experience managing complex infrastructure and Virtualization solutions. - 6 years of experience in VMware vSAN. - 6 years of experience in VMware vSphere 8/7/6.7/6.5/6/5/4. - 6 years of experience in VMware HCX. - 6 years of experience in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). - 6 years of experience in vSphere Replication. - 6 years of experience in VMware vRealize Suite 8/7/6/5. - 6 years of experience in Horizon View. - 6 years of experience in App Volumes. - 6 years of experience in Vcenter/SSO. - 6 years of experience in VMware Work Space One. - 6 years of experience in vRealize Log Insight. - 6 years of experience in High Availability (HA). - 6 years of experience in VMware Workspace One Access. - 6 years of experience in VMware NSX-T/NSX-V – Migrations to NSX. - 6 years of experience in Micro Segmentation. - 6 years of experience in NSX Routing and Switching/Gateways. - 6 years of experience in VMware Fault Tolerance (FT). - 6 years of experience in DRS. - 6 years of experience in vRealize Operations (Vrops). - 6 years of experience in VMware Site Recovery Manager. - 5 years of combined experience in infrastructure engineering and infrastructure management. - 5 years of experience in EACH of the following Hyper-Converged Systems: VxRail with VMware VSAN, VxRack, Nutanix NX Series, and Nutanix Dell XC Series. - 5 years of experience in VxBlock 1000. - 5 years of experience in EACH of the following Servers: Cisco UCS B2xx, B4xx, C2xx, HP C7000, HPE Synergy, ProLiant servers, and DELL PowerEdge. - 5 years of experience in EACH of the following Storage Systems: PowerMax 2000, PowerMax 8000, Symmetrix VMAX 3, Symmetrix VMAX 2, XtremIO, Isilon F, Isilon H, Isilon A, NetApp FAS, and Pure storage. Requirements - Work from home available.
