Job Description

Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

CVS Health

Role Description As our Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer, you'll lead the evolution of network operations through AI-driven automation, data integrity, and asset intelligence. You'll make sure the physical and logical state of our network—across data centers, warehouses, and enterprise environments—always tells one consistent, accurate story. Working at the intersection of network engineering, data management, and automation, you'll build systems that deliver real-time visibility, predictive insight, and closed-loop accuracy across our infrastructure assets and configurations. What You'll Do - Network Infrastructure & Data Integrity - Keep physical assets (racks, cabling, devices) and logical configurations (IPAM, VLANs, routing, cloud overlays) in agreement, end to end. - Maintain authoritative data sources—such as Nautobot and warehouse inventory systems—as the single source of truth. - Run continuous data reconciliation and validation across network, warehouse, and DCIM systems. - Lead initiatives to eliminate configuration drift and inventory discrepancies. - Document physical rack layouts—U-positioning, port maps, and cabling connectivity—and keep them current. - Conduct physical audits to reconcile real-world hardware against management tools. - AI & Automation Engineering - Design and build AI-driven automation frameworks for network provisioning, validation, and remediation. - Develop closed-loop pipelines that detect and correct inconsistencies in real time. - Apply machine learning to anomaly detection, predictive capacity planning, and asset lifecycle optimization. - Inventory & Asset Intelligence - Build workflows that manage assets across their full lifecycle—procurement, deployment, and decommissioning. - Keep warehouse systems, asset-tracking tools, and network inventory platforms in sync. - Integrate barcode, RFID, or IoT-based tracking where it adds value. - Drive full traceability of network hardware across every environment. - Data Management & Analytics - Architect and maintain data pipelines for telemetry, inventory, and configuration datasets. - Establish data governance standards for network infrastructure data. - Build dashboards and analytics that give the team real-time visibility for decision-making. - Partner with Network SREs, full-stack developers, and data teams to deliver AI-ready datasets. - Architecture & Leadership - Define and evolve our AI-driven Network Automation Framework. - Align infrastructure data strategy with broader AI and digital transformation roadmaps. - Evaluate and implement tools across DCIM, IPAM, CMDB, and network observability. - Mentor engineers and serve as a technical leader across the organization. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in network infrastructure engineering (data center, enterprise, or cloud). - 5+ years of experience with data center architectures and cabling standards. - 5+ years experience with: - Inventory/CMDB platforms (e.g., Nautobot, ServiceNow). - Routing & Switching Topology. - 3+ years of experience managing physical and logical asset reconciliation. - 3+ years of experience integrating warehouse/logistics systems with IT infrastructure. Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to infrastructure (anomaly detection, predictive analytics). - Experience with AIOps platforms or network analytics tools. - Knowledge of DCIM tools and data center asset management. - Exposure to streaming telemetry (Kafka, Prometheus, InfluxDB). - Understanding of digital twin concepts for infrastructure modeling. - Certifications: CCNP/CCIE, AWS/Azure, or relevant automation/AI certifications. Education - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience). Anticipated Weekly Hours - 40 Time Type - Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $101,970.00 - $203,940.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Benefits - Comprehensive and competitive mix of pay and benefits. - Medical, dental, and vision coverage. - Paid time off. - Retirement savings options. - Wellness programs and other resources, based on eligibility.
