Social Security Disability Case Manager Paralegal

Role Description We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and patient Case Manager Paralegal to handle Social Security Disability cases from start to finish. This position is fully remote, and we need someone who is a self-starter and can thrive without being micromanaged. You’ll play a key role in managing cases, communicating with clients, and ensuring every file is thoroughly prepared for hearings and submissions. - Manage and oversee Social Security Disability cases from intake through the hearing process. - Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, providing updates and answering questions with patience and empathy. - Gather, organize, and submit medical records, work history, and other supporting documents. - Prepare detailed case summaries and pre-hearing briefs for attorneys. - Work closely with attorneys to ensure cases are strategically prepared for hearings and appeals. - Coordinate with medical providers, vocational experts, and Social Security representatives as needed. - Track deadlines and ensure compliance with all Social Security Administration (SSA) requirements. - Utilize case management software to keep files updated and organized. - Support clients through what can be a stressful and emotional process with professionalism and compassion. Qualifications - Detail-Oriented & Organized – You never miss a deadline, and every case file is in top shape. - Patient & Client-Focused – You have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with clients who may be experiencing significant stress and frustration. - Independent & Self-Motivated – You take ownership of your work and thrive in a remote setting without needing constant oversight. - Experienced in Social Security Disability Law – Prior experience handling SSDI/SSI cases is a strong plus. - Team-Oriented – While you work independently, you also collaborate and communicate effectively with our attorneys and staff. Requirements - Prior experience with Social Security Disability cases is strongly preferred. - Strong knowledge of Social Security regulations, procedures, and deadlines is a plus. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills – You must be able to interact professionally with clients, medical providers, and SSA representatives. - Ability to manage a high caseload efficiently. - Proficiency in case management software (we can train, but experience is a plus). - Tech-savvy – Comfortable with remote work, email, cloud-based case management systems, and virtual meetings. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate needs in case preparation.
