Job Description
Design Program Coordinator
TEKsystems
Role Description We're looking for a Design Program Coordinator to support our team in delivering seamless, high-quality design work that helps people build and maintain meaningful connections. You'll be the operational backbone of the design org on this team — keeping projects on track, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring designers can focus on what they do best. This specific team focuses on helping people find, connect with, and stay close to the people who matter most to them. Our work spans discovery, suggestions, friend management, and the social graph — touching billions of people worldwide. You'll be supporting a design team that cares deeply about trust, inclusivity, and meaningful connection. - Program & Project Management: Drive the end-to-end execution of design projects, from kickoff through delivery, ensuring milestones are met on time and at quality. - Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Content Strategy, and Data Science to align on timelines, dependencies, and deliverables. - Design Operations: Manage design review cadences, critique sessions, and team rituals. Maintain team documentation, asset libraries, and process workflows. - AI-Driven Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools and workflows to streamline team operations, reduce manual overhead, and accelerate design delivery. Champion AI adoption across the team to improve efficiency and free up time for high-impact creative work. - Resource Planning: Track team capacity, flag resourcing gaps, and help leadership prioritize workstreams effectively. - Communication: Provide clear status updates to stakeholders, surface risks early, and drive resolution of blockers. - Process Improvement: Identify friction points in how the team works and propose scalable solutions — including AI-powered automation — to improve efficiency and collaboration. - Event & Workshop Support: Coordinate offsites, design sprints, workshops, and team-building activities. Qualifications - A genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn and adopt AI tools — even if you don't have deep AI experience today, you should be excited about exploring how AI can make teams faster, smarter, and more efficient. - 3+ years of experience in program coordination, project management, or design operations. - Experience working with or within design teams (product design, UX, or similar). - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Monday, or similar). Requirements - This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA. Benefits - The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr. - Medical, dental & vision. - Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital. - 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available. - Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents). - Short and long-term disability. - Health Spending Account (HSA). - Transportation benefits. - Employee Assistance Program. - Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave). Workplace Type - This is a fully remote position. Application Deadline - This position is anticipated to close on Jun 19, 2026.
