Business Analytics Engineer

• Serve as SME for Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and the Microsoft Power Platform. • Build and maintain Power BI datasets, dataflows, ETL processes, dashboards, and optimized data models. • Administer Dataflows, manage refresh schedules, and resolve performance or dependency issues. • Leverage Power Automate and Power Apps for workflow automation and lightweight solutions. • Integrate Power Platform tools with Snowflake, Databricks, and SQL-based systems. • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable data solutions. • Analyze data to deliver trends, insights, and actionable recommendations through effective storytelling. • Ensure data quality, governance, and continuous improvement across reporting and analytics processes.
Job Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- 5 years in BI/analytics delivering end-to-end solutions.
- 5+ years with Power BI, Power Query (M), DAX, and data modeling.
- 5+ years with SQL, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataflows administration.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions, and present insights to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong Python experience for analytics/data science, including Pandas, Sklearn, and Pyspark
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Exposure to enterprise or cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Familiar with common IT infrastructure concepts and systems
- Working knowledge: Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Purview, Copilot M365/Copilot Studio.
- Proven ability to build ETL/ELT pipelines.
