• Translate business needs into data solutions and products aligned with the data platform strategy • Negotiate with stakeholders an impact-driven data strategy • Mentor Swilers on data usage and best practices to improve data literacy and promote data decentralization • Develop ETL/ELT routines and data pipelines • Implement CI/CD processes to ensure data quality • Create, manage, and document data models using dbt (Data Build Tool) to ensure data quality and efficiency • Use Metabase to create visual dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for business teams • Design and implement efficient data storage solutions to support analytics, including Snowflake • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear technical requirements • Monitor the integrity and performance of data systems and make necessary adjustments • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
- Advanced experience in data modeling with dbt (Data Build Tool)
- Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer
- Experience across the analytics workflow (gathering business requirements, data transformation, quality checks, building pipelines, analyses, and dashboards)
- Advanced SQL skills with a proven track record, and experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Hands-on experience with data integration tools such as Stitch
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and deliverables
- Experience creating intuitive reports and dashboards using Metabase (experience with Looker or Tableau is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate meaningful information
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Public Health Analytics Consultant to support statewide and local public health dashboarding and reporting. This role leads the business and analytic direction of dashboards, ensuring they are actionable, policy-relevant, and aligned with DPH priorities, best practice standards, and local public health needs. The ideal candidate brings strong applied analytic judgment, experience working with public health data and partners, and the ability to bridge program, analytic, and technical teams.
