Team Overview: As a Web Content Publisher, you are an integral part of a cross-functional team of strategists, writers, designers and developers that jointly creates world-class digital experiences. Reporting to the Director of Web Experience, you will be a key member of the Web Experience Team that transforms our website, EDC.ca, into an experience that guides Canadian businesses pursuing international opportunities to the right support at EDC. You thrive in the details, and with your keen eye, you will be responsible for publishing content onto EDC.ca ensuring consistency, accuracy, accessibility, and quality. You will use your strong organization skills to efficiently manage digital assets, taxonomy, and tagging within the CMS. As a key link in the content supply chain, you maintain the content lifecycle and uphold governance to serve timely and relevant content to Canadian businesses. What you will be doing: Content Publishing & Management - Publish content in our content management system, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) including authoring, publishing and updating pages using templates and components while maintaining user interface consistency - Managing assets within the Digital Asset Manager (DAM), ensuring content hierarchies, taxonomy, metadata, and tagging are properly structured - Compliance with digital accessibility standards including WCAG guidelines for content elements such as layout, text, tables, images, and interactive elements - Creating and updating authoring guide documentation for each component Content Lifecycle Management - Overseeing content lifecycle, including tracking expiration dates and identifying outdated content through automation - Managing permissions and content workflows to provide the right level of access to content owners - Evergreening content by working with content owners to refresh existing pages with updated information to maintain relevance and SEO performance. - Archiving obsolete content following organizational policies and ensuring historical records remain accessible when needed. Development and Design Collaboration - Coordinating with developers to design and troubleshoot technical issues related to templates, components, and accessibility compliance. - Advising on component flexibilities to align authoring capabilities with business needs while ensuring accessibility considerations. Governance and Process Improvement - Contribute to the development and maintenance of content governance guidelines - Provide training and support to distributed publishers by working with content contributors, ensuring proper governance, consistency, and best practices across teams - Staying updated on web publishing trends, accessibility standards, metadata management, taxonomy best practices, and digital marketing strategies. - Innovating and evolving the content management model for greater effectiveness and efficiency What we are looking for: - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills - Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with Content Management Systems such as Adobe Experience Manager - Strong understanding of metadata management, tagging strategies, and taxonomy structuring for SEO and content categorization. - Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG, accessible markup, content accessibility standards and best practices - Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and usability best practices - Undergrad degree in Marketing, Communication, Interactive Media or similar What will make you stand out: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Nice to have: French) - Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and CMS management. - Experience troubleshooting technical issues with templates, components, and accessibility-related challenges. - Experience in content lifecycle management, including content audits, evergreening strategies, and archival best practices. - Familiarity with SEO principles, digital accessibility compliance, and mobile-first content strategies. - Experience managing distributed publishing workflows with multiple contributors - Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with developers, stakeholders, and content teams.
