Role Overview The Manager, Production Planning & Global Supply Chain supports Medexus’ global supply chain function by leading day-to-day production planning and supply chain execution across the Medexus portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Supply Chain, this role is responsible for establishing and managing structured planning processes that ensure reliable product supply while balancing inventory, service, and cost. The Manager, Production Planning & Global Supply Chain translates strategic direction into operational execution through supply planning governance, external partner coordination, inventory strategy, procurement execution support, and KPI driven continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities - Lead the routine S&OP process and related planning governance activities across the portfolio. - Translate demand inputs and business priorities into actionable supply and production plans. - Develop supply and production plans in partnership with CMOs and other external supply partners. - Manage inventory planning activities, including safety stock, expiry management, and backorder prioritization. - Coordinate procurement execution, including purchase order issuance, supplier follow up, and tracking of supply commitments. - Monitor supply status, replenishment timing, inventory positions, service risks, backorders, and production timing to support reliable product availability and continuity. - Partner cross functionally with Commercial Operations, Finance, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Regulatory, and Therapeutic Leads to support aligned execution. - Support product launches, lifecycle changes, and onboarding of new products or supply partners into the Medexus supply chain model. - Prepare and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting, and management review materials. Track forecast alignment and partner performance such as on time delivery against KPIs. - Identify and implement supply chain cost optimization opportunities across the portfolio. - Support process improvements across forecasting, supply monitoring, governance, and execution routines. - Provide field-based insights to internal stakeholders to support data generation, planning, and communication initiatives. Qualifications and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related field. - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotech supply chain or production planning. - ASCM APICS certification, such as CPIM (preferred) or CSCP, is considered an asset. - Robust knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, including S&OP, inventory planning, procurement execution, and CMO management. - Strong planning and coordination skills across supply, production, inventory, and external partner activities. - Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with ability to prepare reports, dashboards, and planning materials. - Demonstrated effective stakeholder management and cross functional collaboration skills. - Ability to design and improve planning and monitoring processes in a lean environment. - Effective problem solving and decision-making capabilities, including ability to balance cost, service, and supply risk. - Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms. Additional Information - Base salary range: $100,000-$140,000 - Remote position with travel requirements up to 10% including international travel as needed.
