Job Description

Director, Revenue Analytics

Envision Healthcare

• Directs employees by supporting, coaching, training, assisting with time management and performing evaluations; should conduct regular meetings with all direct reports. • Oversees the full annual revenue budgeting process, collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure forecasts align with strategic goals and financial targets. • Builds and maintains detailed proforma financial models for new business initiatives, contract negotiations, and evolving business models to assess profitability and sustainability. • Drives accurate and strategic projections of net patient revenue across budgeting, forecasting, proforma modeling, and subsidy reconciliations. • Leads analysis of rate changes and reimbursement trends, including rate bridge reporting and payer mix shifts, to support pricing strategy and revenue optimization. • Analyzes monthly financial results, identifies key drivers of variance, and communicates actionable insights to senior leaders and department heads. • Partners with Health Plan Relations to develop advanced payer contract models, providing financial scenarios to support negotiation strategies. • Oversees calculation, accrual, and processing of employee incentive payments on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases in partnership with HR and Finance. • Participates in monthly financial performance meetings, presenting revenue analytics and conducting follow up analysis to support strategic decisions. • Creates customized financial analyses and revenue impact assessments in response to emerging business needs and executive requests. • Serves as primary liaison for external auditors regarding revenue-related areas, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely documentation. • Works closely with Finance, Strategy, Operations, and other departments to integrate financial insights into enterprise decision-making and strategic planning. • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Biology coursework at the undergraduate level or above required; Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology coursework preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience in the healthcare field may be considered in lieu of the education requirement
  • At least 100 hours of work, volunteer, or shadowing experience in the healthcare field required
  • Experience in a direct patient care environment preferred i.e. EMT, scribe, clinical technician in a hospital, medical assistant in a doctor’s office
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and general medical knowledge
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent listening and note-taking skills
  • Detail oriented with proven ability to work effectively under conditions requiring accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast paced, at times stressful environment
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to type 50 words per minute or above, adjusted for errors
  • Responsible for adhering to Information Security Policies and ensuring Envision is as secure as possible.
