Job Description
New Caledonia Market Lead
Deblock
Role Description At Deblock, we are building the first bank onchain: simple, non-custodial, and human. We are looking for our New Caledonia Market Lead, the operational engine and local face of our expansion. This isn't a role for a distant executive; it's for a hands-on builder. You will report directly to the Founders and VP of Marketing, acting as the bridge between high-level strategy and boots-on-the-ground execution. You will own the "Trust & Growth" engine for the New Caledonian market. What we are looking for - The "Hands-On Operator" Profile: You're structured and operational by nature. You're equally comfortable building a project plan and showing up in person to get things done. - Analytical Rigor: You don't just "have ideas", you can set clear KPIs, track them, and build the models and project plans to back them up. You are highly structured and process-driven. - BizDev DNA: You understand how to open doors, build a local pipeline, and turn relationships into commercial partnerships on the ground in New Caledonia. - Operational Versatility: You are as comfortable managing logistics and card distribution as you are negotiating a commercial contract. What will make you stand out - Local BizDev Experience: You've previously developed business or scaled a consumer/fintech product in the New Caledonian market. - Network: You have a growing "Rolodex" of contacts across New Caledonian retail, media, and local payment or distribution platforms. What you'll be working on - Market Development & KPIs: Take the global playbook and localize it. You own Deblock's growth in New Caledonia, with clear KPIs and a roadmap you drive end-to-end. - On-the-Ground Operations: Manage the local operations, from receiving our VISA cards to finding and onboarding local partners to distribute them to our customers. - Strategic Partnerships: Identify, pitch, and close partnerships with local retailers to build the brand and feed the customer acquisition funnel. - Trust Architecture: Lead the initiative to acquire local trust signals: building credibility with partners, consumers, and local stakeholders. - Content & Representation: Act as Deblock's primary local face at partner meetings, community events, and in the press. Benefits - Competitive salary + stock options - Private dental + health insurance - The best tech for your job - 30 days of paid holidays (excl. bank holidays) - Option to work 100% remotely or come to the office — your choice! - Ability to work abroad for 4 months a year
