Job Description

Director, Finance Management Systems

SOLV Energy

• Own the multi-year platform roadmap for the FP&A and financial systems landscape, aligned to Finance transformation priorities and business needs • Ensure the availability, performance, and data integrity of core financial systems including planning, consolidation, and reporting applications • Oversee change management and release governance across development, test, and production environments; maintain SOX controls compliance for system access and configuration changes • Partner with Accounting and FP&A to maintain and evolve planning models, driver logic, hierarchies, and allocation methodologies in support of budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles • Oversee the development and maintenance of financial reports, dashboards, and management packages for senior leadership and the board • Lead, develop, and grow a team of systems analysts, model builders, and data engineers; set clear goals, manage performance, and provide regular coaching and feedback to support individual growth and team effectiveness • Own team hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning; identify skill gaps and build team capabilities to reduce reliance on external consultants over time • Prioritize and manage the team’s project backlog and day-to-day workload across competing requests from FP&A, Accounting, and business units; ensure appropriate capacity for both run-the-business and strategic initiatives • Foster a team culture of continuous improvement, documentation, and Accounting/Finance-first service delivery; establish team standards, best practices, and operating rhythms that scale with business growth • Serve as the primary point of contact for Finance stakeholders across FP&A, Accounting, and business units on systems matters; translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions • Own the platform vendor relationship, including renewals, escalations, and roadmap alignment; evaluate new features and capabilities to inform investment decisions

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
  • 8+ years of experience in FP&A systems, financial planning technology, or EPM/CPM platforms; 3+ years in a people management or team leadership role
  • Deep hands-on experience with one or more leading FP&A platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, OneStream, Planful, or Oracle EPM)
  • Strong understanding of FP&A processes: budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, management reporting, and close cycles
  • Experience managing data integrations between financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday)
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and change management controls in a financial systems context
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills — able to translate effectively between Finance, IT, and vendor partners
  • Experience in a public company or multinational environment preferred
  • Proven ability to lead or play a senior role in an EPM implementation or major re-platforming effort.
