• Utilize available encoder, grouper software, and other coding resources to determine the appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and/or HCPCS including specialty specific codes and Evaluation and Management (E&M) codes • Maintain an understanding and apply knowledge of National Correct Coding Initiatives (NCCI), Local Coverage Documents and National Coverage Documents (LCD/NCD) directives, Medically Unlikely Edits (MUEs), and Medicare Teaching Physician Guidelines, applying knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and institutional guidelines to select appropriate codes and modifiers

• Oversees existing annual financial budget processes throughout the organization; including but not limited to developing timelines and project plans, communicating clearly at all levels, reaching consensus with executive leaders on strategy, and ensuring the final plan is approved at all levels • Monitor for and answer questions, update documentation, FAQ, and training as appropriate. Responds to all levels of management as needed for information requests as they relate to financial statements, budgets, projections, and other Accounting related areas • Develops and prepares financial and statistical analyses, graphs, and presentation materials including auditing and tie outs to sources of truth; provides analytical support for the finance team and operational partners • Help orchestrate duties for and ensure current operational budget process meets goals • Develop trusted advisor relationship with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging operational knowledge, budget knowledge, and technical skills

• Ensure successful delivery to support strategic planning initiatives, improve organizational performance and advance progress towards goals. • Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement within the WCHQ Team. • Leverage knowledge and skills with a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, R, Python), analytic techniques and platforms and analyze large quantities of data from multiple sources.

• Develop and implement an organized monitoring system for the QA program structure. • Develop, conduct, and/or coordinate the review process for coding quality. • Analyzing errors and formulating advice/education. • Identifying and advising staff on quality improvement opportunities. • Participating in individualized feedback for coding staff. • Summarizing results and identifying trends for specific educational opportunities. • Prepare summary reporting of the coding review results as requested.

• Support management framework, tracking mechanisms and facilitate the infrastructure of financial performance which includes margin improvement, productivity, benchmarking, position control, and long range planning • Effectively facilitate meetings within Finance and at the organizational level • Seek first to understand and then drive root cause analysis to actionable results leveraging a high degree of technical skills, analytical competencies, leading without authority, and outstanding communication skills

• Help coordinate the review of all charge requests or changes with coding, billing, and cost accounting to ensure codes follow internal and national compliance standards. • Identify, coordinate, prioritize and implement changes to charging, reconciliation and reporting. • In partnership with department leadership, coordinate administrative aspects of a department, unit, project or area, including preparation of reports, researching issues and assisting in updating policies, procedures, manuals, and administrative tools. • Provide leadership support with management of calendars, maintenance of agendas, taking meeting minutes, and the coordination of activities and schedules of management and department teams. • Coordinate and monitor facility and departmental needs, purchase supplies, materials, services or equipment. • Participate/schedule discussions related to work-flow concerns with department managers, business office users, coding, information systems, and cost accounting teams as needed.
