Senior Manager, Business Development

DIRECTV

• Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic business opportunities including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures. • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic partners, managing ongoing relationships and ensuring alignment with directv's business objectives. • Lead end-to-end execution of new business opportunities including deal structuring, negotiation support, due diligence, and operational implementation. • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned partnerships and business development initiatives. • Conduct in-depth market, competitive, and technical analysis to evaluate new partnership opportunities and inform strategic decision-making. • Lead and influence cross-functional teams on business development initiatives without direct authority, driving accountability and alignment. • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, supporting their professional development and day-to-day work quality.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, corporate development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading complex partnership negotiations and executing multi-stakeholder initiatives from inception through launch.
  • Experience in the media, telecommunications, or technology industry preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of business development frameworks, partnership structures, and strategic planning methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience building financial models, business cases, and ROI analyses.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a matrixed organization.
  • High proficiency in market research, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

Role Description Steer is seeking a Pipeline Manager to lead day to day oversight, strategy, and performance of the firm’s business development pipeline.
