Job Description

Business Operations Manager

Remote - Referral Board

Role Description This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal impact in the global employment space as a Business Operations Manager in EOR Business Operations. As a dynamic, curious, and energetic professional, you will help improve how EOR Operations runs end-to-end by driving cross-functional clarity, operating mechanisms, and delivery support across domains. You will partner with senior leaders and stakeholders across EOR Ops and beyond to enable scalable execution, measurable outcomes, and strong adoption of changes that span multiple teams. Qualifications - Demonstrated experience in business operations, program/project management, operational excellence, or a similar cross-functional role (ideally in EOR Operations or an adjacent operating environment). - Strong project management skills and ability to take ambiguous, multi-stakeholder work from problem definition through delivery, adoption, and measurement. - Ability to facilitate alignment across teams with differing priorities and influence outcomes without direct authority. - Thoughtful use of AI to improve workflows and incorporate it into solution design where it meaningfully increases quality, speed, or clarity. - Comfortable working with operational metrics and reporting (e.g., Sigma, Zendesk, Google Sheets) and translating data into clear insights and recommendations. - Clear writing skills and default to transparent, effective async communication with peers and stakeholders. - Proactive, structured, and able to self-direct with high ownership and follow-through. - Passion for improving systems and ways of working with prior examples of making processes faster, clearer, and more scalable. - Ability to move quickly but with intention, demonstrating strong judgment about trade-offs, risk, and when escalation is needed. Requirements - Lead cross-functional projects from ideation to execution, including requirements gathering, scope definition, milestone planning, stakeholder updates, adoption, and impact measurement. - Identify systemic operational gaps across EOR domains and coordinate remediation with accountable owners and partners, ensuring changes do not create downstream manual work or unintended side effects. - Drive cross-domain visibility and alignment across EOR Operations by maintaining clarity on initiatives, dependencies, risks, and decisions. - Identify and implement AI-enabled improvements to EOR operating mechanisms, ensuring accuracy, security, and measurable impact. - Facilitate prioritization and sequencing for work that spans multiple EOR domains, regions, or creates cross-functional handoffs; establish lightweight governance and escalation paths for prioritization conflicts. - Own recurring reporting inputs (efficiency, quality, throughput, risk signals) and convert insights into clear recommendations and follow-through with accountable owners. - Establish and continuously improve EOR-wide operating mechanisms (intake/routing, handoffs, escalation paths, documentation standards, and reusable SOP patterns) to reduce misrouting, duplication, and stalled work. - Support audit and compliance program management for cross-functional efforts (evidence gathering, stakeholder alignment, remediation tracking). - Partner effectively with Product/Engineering, Legal, Customer Success, Finance, and EOR Ops leadership to align on cross-domain operational requirements and enable smooth execution across multiple surfaces (e.g., Payroll + PEO + EOR). - Flex to any project work as required by the business needs within EOR Operations. Benefits - Work from anywhere. - Flexible paid time off. - Flexible working hours (we are async). - 16 weeks paid parental leave. - Mental health support services. - Stock options. - Learning budget. - Home office budget & IT equipment. - Budget for local in-person social events or co-working spaces.
