• Responsible for the month-end close process for assigned entities, including preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations. • Deliver timely and accurate reports to corporate accounting reviewers and to Stream Partners. • Correctly calculate division leader bonuses as required. • Review commission billing and receipt information to calculate payroll accruals. • Track investment entities and review documents to accurately record equity pickups. • Review A/P invoices, post payment batches, and print checks at least weekly. • Prepare and post customer billings and review and approve cash receipts. • Responsible for cash management of assigned entities and communicating issues to VP of Corporate Accounting. • Special reporting and analytical or Ad Hoc projects as needed or requested. • Respond to questions from local offices timely and effectively.

Role Description DPR Construction is seeking a senior project accountant with at least 8 years of commercial construction accounting experience. This individual will be ultimately responsible for day-to-day accounting of project financials. Senior project accountants will work closely with all members of the project team - project managers, engineers, superintendents, and field office coordinators. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following: - Manage and lead other project accounting team members. - Mentor and train team members for fast-paced growth development and apply DPR’s people practices. - Project accounting including preparing owner draws, collection, and subcontractor compliance. - Creation and analysis of financial reports. - Journal entries and job costs for projects. - Assist with strategic planning/forecasting of project financials. - Cash management and reporting. - Possibility of managing accounting teams of 2-3 employees. - Assist with project audits. Qualifications - Flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines. - Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills. - Ability to identify and resolve complex issues. - Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, accounting cost management software (CMIC or similar). - 8+ years of experience as an accountant, preferably within the construction industry. - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or CCIFP. - A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude. • Prepare journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations • Help maintain and improve month-end close processes, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Ensure compliance with GAAP • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvements to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and accelerate the month-end close process. • Respond to information requests and assist with the annual financial statement audit • Analyze financial statements and GL accounts to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual fluctuations are in line with expectations and documented • Prepare operational and ad hoc reporting for additional analysis associated with financial statement areas assigned • Assist accounting leadership as needed
