We are seeking a Senior BI Developer to transform data into actionable insights, lead BI projects, develop data models, and mentor teams while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Location - Remote - Working hours – ET or CT Responsibilities - Collaboration: Strong Communication and Collaboration skills, able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders a must. - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, analysts, and IT, to gather requirements, define, standardize, document, and deliver BI solutions aligned with company goals - Partner with Data Engineering to optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data models (e.g., Snowflake, dbt) - Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, data engineering and business Power BI teams to ensure alignment - Data Modeling: Develop and optimize scalable data models, and ensure data quality and performance - Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making - Dashboard and Visualization Development: Design, implement, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI - Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior developers, foster best practices, and lead BI initiatives. - Process Improvement: Continuously enhance BI processes, tools, and methodologies to improve data quality, consistency, reporting accuracy, and efficiency across BI workflows - Governance: - Use DevOps practices to apply DevOps principles (version control; automated deployment; environment strategy; continuous integration strategy and deliver code reviews; Etc.) - Enforce BI Development standards, naming conventions - Optimization: Drive improvements to optimize BI platform performance, query efficiency, model design, and cost management - Influence & Guide: Partner with Business Power BI Teams to move towards standardized, maintainable, and scalable solutions - All other duties as assigned Qualifications - Advanced Technical Expertise: - Power BI, DAX, SQL, dbt Cloud, other BI tools and Python - Data warehousing, cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Azure) - Statistical analysis - Building Semantic layers, reusable data models, scalable reporting frameworks and BI architectures - Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: - Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations. - Operate effectively in an ambiguous or evolving data environment, driving incremental improvement and structure. - Experience working across multiple business domains and stakeholder groups - Flexibility: Highly organized with the ability to adapt to changing priorities - Communication Skills: Effective collaboration with stakeholders and ability to translate business needs and/or requirements into technical solutions - Experience: - 5+ years in BI development or analytics roles - with senior-level experience 8-10 years in data modeling, data architecture, performance tuning, and strategic decision-making. - Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields Optional/Preferred Skills - Finance, Manufacturing, Distribution or Supply Chain experience a plus. - Experience with Microsoft Fabric a plus - Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate a plus Travel Requirements - Normally once a quarter to Home Office (Charlotte, NC) #LI-LS1
