Data Engineer – BI Developer

• Design and implement data pipelines, migrate legacy ETL workloads, and build scalable reporting and analytics solutions on the Microsoft data platform • Write complex, high-performance T-SQL and SQL queries for data transformation, reporting layers, and stored procedures • Migrate legacy SSIS packages to modern Microsoft Fabric equivalents, ensuring data integrity, performance, and maintainability throughout the process • Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Warehouses) and Azure Data Services • Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards, including semantic model design, DAX measures, and data modeling best practices • Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements, document data flows, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions • Develop and manage data models (star schema, snowflake) within Azure Synapse Analytics, Fabric Warehouses, or SQL Server environments • Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune pipeline performance, data quality, and query execution across production and development environments • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to solution design decisions for new client engagements • Document technical designs, pipeline logic, and data definitions clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or similar roles
- Expertise working with SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, etc.
- Proven experience migrating SSIS packages to cloud-native ETL/ELT solutions (Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory strongly preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Data Warehouses, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks
- Proficiency with Power BI: report and dashboard development, DAX, data modeling, Power Query (M), and report publishing/workspace management
- Hands-on experience with Azure data services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and/or Azure Synapse Analytics
- Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts: dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with multiple concurrent workstreams
- Experience in a client-facing consulting or professional services environment
- Experience with Salesforce data integrations or Salesforce API consumption (REST/SOAP) (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with Python or PySpark for data transformation within Fabric Notebooks or Azure Databricks (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to machine learning workflows or Azure Machine Learning (Nice to Have)
- Microsoft certifications: DP-700 (Fabric Analytics Engineer), PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer), or equivalent (Nice to Have)

Role: The Head of Fraud Intelligence is responsible for transforming SentiLink's Fraud Intelligence Team (FIT) into a high-impact fraud intelligence function. Role Description CVP is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with experience in data analytics to support a surge effort for DHS' Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
