Role Description The Software Developer is a key member of the Product Development Team. Working with the development manager and product owner, the Software Developer implements software designs produced by the interaction design team. The Software Developer uses modern development tools to create functional implementations of software. As one of our Software Developers, you will be expected to design implementations that result in high quality, well-documented, and unit testable source code. Primary Responsibilities - Develop Software Implementation Designs – Create documentation that explains the design of the software solution. - Develop Software Unit Tests – Create Unit Tests that prove the solution works as designed using Test Driven Development practices. - Create Software Installation Packages – Create installation packages that allow customers to install software on workstations and servers. - Create Software Implementations – Create source code that meets the needs of the design requirements by satisfying the rules established in a unit test. - Participate in Code Reviews – All code produced will be subject to a code review prior to check-in to the source code control system. Responsible for making modifications based on the outcome of the code review. - Participate in Software Implementation Planning – Contribute estimates of effort required to accomplish specific software design implementations. - Participate in Implementation Review Sessions – Receive feedback from key stakeholders by demonstrating the software implementation. • Lead a team of senior engineers operating Docker Build Cloud and Hub's build systems and building Docker's next generation of secure build infrastructure. • Own delivery: turn an ambiguous, high-stakes roadmap, including time-bound commitments to regulated and federal customers, into a concrete plan the team can execute predictably. • Get the team's process and mechanics right, and partner closely with Product to turn strategy into a roadmap the team believes in. • Stay deep in the technical work: active in design discussions and code review, hands-on in the code where it helps, rather than steering from a distance. • Be a real part of setting the team's technical direction, working with the engineers who lead on different parts of the system, while giving the whole team room to own technical decisions. • This role may require participation in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. • Be accountable for the reliability and operational excellence of the team's production services, including a healthy, humane on-call rotation. • Own the growth, development, and performance of each engineer on the team, and hire to strengthen it. • Work across the wider org - Product, sales, commercial and legal, the Hub/registry team, and security - to align the team and shield it from churn. • Hold a high bar for engineering excellence and raise the team's security hygiene.

• Coordinate and manage survey onboarding, setup, configuration, approvals, and rollover activities. • Ensure survey programs are launched accurately and on schedule. • Support survey workflows, routing processes, service level agreements (SLAs), and respondent communications. • Partner with business stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements related to survey operations. • Maintain survey-related configurations, user assignments, and operational controls. • Support CRM-driven customer engagement and respondent service initiatives. • Monitor and improve respondent experiences across communication channels. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer service issues and operational challenges. • Ensure business processes and workflows are functioning effectively and efficiently. • Coordinate outreach campaigns and communication efforts supporting survey participation and customer engagement. • Support email and SMS communication initiatives and monitor campaign effectiveness. • Assist with audience segmentation, communication strategies, and campaign execution. • Maintain knowledge articles, FAQs, topics, and self-service content to support respondents and internal users. • Support search functionality and content organization to improve information accessibility. • Partner with business teams to ensure knowledge resources remain current and accurate. • Coordinate data management activities related to survey onboarding, user assignments, account mappings, and operational processes. • Support integrations and data exchanges between CRM systems and related applications. • Work with technical teams to troubleshoot data and system issues impacting business operations. • Assist in testing and validating system changes and enhancements. • Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics. • Track survey activity, customer interactions, operational effectiveness, and service delivery metrics. • Analyze trends and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes. • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and program stakeholders. • Monitor system performance and operational processes to identify issues and improvement opportunities. • Coordinate issue resolution efforts with technical and business teams. • Support platform upgrades, process enhancements, and modernization initiatives. • Participate in Agile teams and continuous improvement efforts to improve business operations and service delivery.

Also be comfortable to conduct peer review of other developers' code as needed. - Attend and actively participate in all Agile-related meetings. Work within the Agile framework including participating in User Story grooming sessions, Sprint Planning meeting, and retrospectives. - Deliver presentations as required to the client during Sprint demos as well coordinating meetings with intersecting teams as required. - Participate in knowledge sharing sessions within the company to socialize best practices and white papers as applicable. Qualifications - Bachelors or other IT related degree. - Applicants MUST be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain US Government’s Public Trust security clearance. - At least 4 years of experience in the design and implementation of digital, bpm or case management solutions using Appian. - Strong Appian development and debugging skills. - Fairly good understanding of data concepts (SQL, Databases) and business workflows. - Experience working on recent Appian versions (22.x or later). - Strong verbal and writing skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels with technical as well as business resources. Requirements - Experience with Appian SAIL, Process Models, Interfaces, Process Monitoring, and/or Integrations. - Experience in handling multiple tasks, changing priorities, and timely action; experience with Agile methodologies and Agile project management. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Good communication and interpersonal skills in a remote environment. - Experience working with software development team members. - Other open sources technology experience preferred.
