What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): - Execute the Socure Identity Verification (IDV) workflow day-to-day—triaging flags, applying defined risk-code criteria, recommending dispositions, and supporting in-person onboarding (IPO) Day-1 re-verification—escalating exceptions and edge cases to your manager and Insider Threat per established runbooks - Run Enhanced Talent Diligence (ETD) workflows under defined procedures, including known threat actor alias screening, DPRK detection, terminated-employee and adverse-customer checks, escalating findings to Insider Threat and Legal - Initiate and monitor background checks for FTEs, contingent workers, M&A, interns, and consultants through completion, ensuring vendor SLAs are met - Support enhanced and privileged-access screening, including CAF fingerprinting and FBI/State checks - Manage ticket queues across vendor portals and the Protective Intelligence Service Desk, escalating to management when required - Contribute to weekly Backgrounds Health reporting and maintain high-integrity program data - Support audit and compliance readiness (internal CAF audits, contingent worker BGC audits, external audit responses) - Maintain runbooks, process documentation, and Service Catalog entries; respond to candidate and stakeholder questions - Partner across Talent, People Operations, Insider Threat, Legal, and EAA What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): - Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality. - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in background checks, security operations, trust & safety, investigations, or a related field - Hands-on experience with background check and screening platforms (e.g., Checkr, ClearStar, or equivalents) - A fraud-detection mindset, with the judgment to identify red flags and escalate appropriately - Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, including the ability to review data and identify anomalies - Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy - Solid verbal and written communication skills and the maturity to handle highly sensitive and confidential information - Self-disciplined and able to complete work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment - Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learning as tools evolve and applying human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality Nice to haves: - Experience with Identity Verification (IDV) technology, ideally Socure (IDV, Liveness, RiskOS) - Familiarity with DPRK-specific threat actor patterns or sophisticated state-sponsored "remote work" fraud schemes - Experience with Enhanced Talent Diligence, OSINT screening, or due diligence investigations - Prior experience in a highly regulated financial services or crypto environment - Familiarity with global privacy and screening laws (GDPR, CCPA, FCRA) - Experience with Jira, Workday (HCM), and Greenhouse (ATS) - Familiarity with NYDFS fingerprinting / FBI / State background check requirements Pay Transparency Notice: Base salary varies by location (see range below).
