Business Development Manager
Array Technologies
Role Description We seek professionals with technical sales, preferably with an economically differentiated industrial product, experience to join our growing team. The Manager, Business Development, will understand and support the breadth of Array's customers, which range from EPC companies, to solar project developers, to Independent Power Producers (IPPs). This individual will understand the different customer metrics and concerns and how to improve Array's offerings to better meet customer needs. This individual will advocate for the customer within Array by defining customer requirements, prioritizing these requirements, and identifying new opportunities for Array to add value. - Sell Array Tech, Inc. Product and Services to Solar EPCs, Developers and IPPs. - Strengthen Array's existing customer relationships by gaining a deeper understanding of customer business objectives and how Array can support them. - Ensure that customers, contractors, and industry players understand Array's product differentiation and economic value proposition. - Be ‘ahead of the curve’ for understanding upcoming customer activities and projects. - Understand in depth each prospective customer’s concerns and decision variables. - Lead Array's response to RFQ’s and close sales. - Define and develop proposals for Array products which will maintain or enhance market share. - Work with the sales and product management teams to address particularly challenging customer requirements or field issues. - Implement the strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and drive revenue growth. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities. - Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers. - Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals. - Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management. - Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through effective sales techniques and relationship management. - Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment to maximize team productivity. - Implement best practices in sales techniques and processes to enhance team performance. - Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients. - Stay informed about the latest advancements in solar technology and incorporate them into sales strategies. - Negotiate and close contracts with clients, ensuring profitable terms for the company. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar technology. - 2+ years hands on computer experience with email, Salesforce, PowerPoint, and Word. - Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. - Experience in international sales and market expansion is highly desirable. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. - Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. - Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools. - Passionate about renewable energy and sustainability. - Results-oriented with a strong drive for success. - Adaptable and open to new challenges and opportunities. - Collaborative and able to work effectively in a team environment. - Innovative and forward-thinking. - Excellent written, presentation and conversational skills. - Experience in the solar, renewables, or power generation equipment market. - Ability to communicate technical product attributes and economic value proposition. - Ability to work across multiple organizations in a fast paced, smaller company environment. Requirements - This position will require approx. 50% travel.
