Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Charge Bookkeeper who can seamlessly bridge the gap between daily transaction precision and high-level accounting oversight. In this role, you will take complete ownership of our financial health, moving far beyond basic data entry to become a trusted steward of our accounts. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to manage the end-to-end accounting lifecycle, perform critical month-end close tasks, and generate the deep financial reporting that empowers our leadership to scale with absolute confidence. Key Responsibilities - Own the Full Accounting Cycle: - Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping, financial data entry, and ledger maintenance to guarantee 100% accurate, tax-ready records. - Drive Month-End Closings: - Execute comprehensive end-of-month closing processes, including rigorous bank, credit card, and merchant account reconciliations inside QuickBooks. - Produce Financial Intelligence: - Generate, format, and review vital financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements) to provide clear financial visibility to leadership. - Manage Working Capital: - Oversee the accounts payable and receivable lifecycles, ensuring seamless vendor payments, client invoicing, and proactive collections management. - Coordinate Payroll & Compliance: - Process regular payroll runs accurately and on time, ensuring proper tax calculations and adherence to general compliance standards. - Analyze Financial Metrics: - Monitor ledger trends, perform variance analysis, and proactively flag discrepancies, budget concerns, or cash flow optimization opportunities to leadership. Qualifications - Minimum 3–5 years of blended experience acting as both a bookkeeper and accountant, preferably supporting small-to-medium businesses (Required). - Expert Mastery of QuickBooks Online/Desktop: Must be completely comfortable navigating advanced reporting features, ledger setups, and built-in payroll modules (Required). - Strong Accounting Fundamentals: Deep knowledge of general ledger adjustments, double-entry accounting, and advanced financial reporting parameters (Required). - Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex accounting data clearly in English and collaborate independently with U.S. executives without constant oversight (Required). - Immediate Availability: Strong preference for qualified candidates who are available to onboard and begin operations immediately (Required). - Credentials: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or active QuickBooks ProAdvisor / Certified Bookkeeper status (Preferred).

• Supports client bookkeeping functions, including, yet not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, payroll, journal entries, and reporting. • Deep experience in full-charge bookkeeping, with multiple clients, and solid knowledge of basic accounting principles. • Ability to create and interpret financial reports such as Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss, and cash flows, among others. • Detailed understanding of accounting and bookkeeping, and must understand the differences between cash and accrual accounting. • Very tech-savvy - comfortable using and learning the newest accounting and office technologies. • Experience working in a multiple-client environment. • Hyper-organized, able to handle a large variety of projects and tasks, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks. • Ensures deadlines for accounting month-end are met, and all needed reports are prepared in a timely manner. • Does everything possible so that the month- and year-end processes are smooth and lessen the time needed at the end of these periods. • Assists in the compilation of client information for tax preparation as requested and agreed by HigherRing (this is not usually included in our work beyond requesting W-9s, preparing 1099s, and providing reports). • Assisting in organizing, systematizing, and documenting processes and procedures. • Is comfortable researching to determine answers to questions or the best way to perform work on client systems. • Performs other duties as requested.
