• Lead and develop the tax team, distributing tasks, managing the client portfolio’s routine, and monitoring performance; • Ensure accurate calculation of direct and indirect taxes (federal, state, and municipal — e.g., ICMS, ISS, PIS, COFINS, IRPJ, CSLL, withholdings, etc.); • Validate, review, and supervise tax filings and ancillary obligations, ensuring deadlines are met; • Serve as the technical reference for complex internal and client tax queries; • Identify tax risks and propose process and control improvements; • Monitor legislative changes and guide the team accordingly; • Support strategic client meetings with a consultative approach; • Support the development and training of analysts and assistants in the tax department; • Ensure timely delivery, operational organization, and overall departmental outputs; • Act in a consultative manner, understanding each client's operations and specific requirements; • Immerse in the client's context to identify opportunities and propose tax and operational efficiency improvements; • Prepare and support tax studies focused on tax burden reduction and risk mitigation; • Lead and support the implementation of tax reform changes, advising clients during the transition; • Support clients in strategic decision-making based on tax analysis; • Structure and continuously improve processes; • Interface with internal areas (accounting, client services, finance); • Other duties inherent to a management role.
