Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Deployment Engineer to lead complex, large-scale data migration and deployment projects. In this role, you will be the technical cornerstone for migrating enterprises from various source environments (including Microsoft 365, on-premises Exchange, Box, Dropbox, and file servers) into Google Workspace. The ideal candidate possesses deep architectural knowledge of cloud ecosystems, an expert-level command of industry-standard migration utilities—specifically Movebot and CloudM—and the leadership skills required to guide clients through seamless technical transitions. Key Responsibilities - Migration Architecture & Execution - Lead the end-to-end technical execution of complex data migration projects into Google Workspace. - Design, configure, and optimize migration pipelines using Movebot and CloudM (both CloudM Migrate and CloudM Manage). - Perform deep-dive discovery and source-environment assessments to identify potential data fidelity risks, permission mapping complexities, and scale challenges. - Develop robust mapping strategies for identity, mail, calendars, contacts, and complex hierarchical file structures. - Technical Leadership & Strategy - Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for cloud-to-cloud and on-premise-to-cloud migration methodologies. - Define best practices, repeatable deployment frameworks, and automation scripts to continuously improve delivery efficiency. - Troubleshoot advanced infrastructure, API throttling, network bottlenecks, and data delta sync failures. - Stakeholder & Project Management - Collaborate closely with project managers, account executives, and client technical teams to align deployment timelines and technical prerequisites. - Translate complex technical concepts, migration risks, and cutover strategies into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. - Provide tier-3 escalation support during critical cutover windows.
