DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a VP Actuarial & Analytics Classification: Exempt, Full Time Division: Actuarial & Analytics Reports to: SVP Actuarial & Analytics Travel: 0-10% Location: Office/Hybrid (San Diego, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, New York) or Remote Salary: $200,000.00- $250,000.00 About the role: DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Actuarial & Analytics for the Actuarial & Analytics function. This team is responsible for providing actuarial services across the entire portfolio including pricing/ratemaking analytics, product development and portfolio steering. This team works closely with the divisional leads as they set the direction of their book. The individual will be involved in all phases including building out quantitative program reviews, developing pricing models, rate indications and communicating results to senior stakeholders, both internally and externally. This role will have frequent direct contact with senior management and will span all Property, Casualty and Financial Line products offered by DUAL. As such, the individual must communicate effectively and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: - Pricing Models: design, enhance, and maintain pricing models and raters - Ratemaking/Pricing: perform rate indications and quantify rate adequacy across programs/products - Portfolio Steering: evaluation of program performance and delivering actionable data-driven insights to improve program results - Product Development: develop rates, rating plans and product strategies for new and existing programs/products - Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with other senior leaders, underwriters, and external stakeholders to align actuarial practices with business objectives. - Relationship Building: Strengthen relationships between the actuarial team both within DUAL and with DUAL’s carrier partners. - Innovation: Lead research and development efforts in actuarial science to leverage new technologies and methodologies for improving service delivery and efficiency. - Team Management / Mentoring: Mentor more junior team members of the actuarial team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development. Job Requirements: - Minimum of 10 years of experience in an actuarial or insurance role - ACAS or FCAS or international equivalent - Strong understanding of basic and advanced ratemaking and reserving techniques and principles - Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously - Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment - Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex actuarial concepts to non-specialists. - Strategic thinker with a proven ability to influence business decisions and drive innovation within the actuarial domain. - Technical Skills: - SQL, R, Python, Excel, PowerBI - Individuals with strong insurance background and limited programming (R/SQL/Python) will still be considered if they demonstrate a strong desire to learn/improve these skills - Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Engineering, etc.) - If you do not meet all the qualifications for this role, we still encourage you to apply, as we are always looking for diverse talent to join our growing team.
