Role Description This position will be part of the technical team responsible for the operation of multiple high-volume eCommerce websites using a combination of Shopify Plus, React/NodeJS/Typescript, CMS systems, custom Shopify apps, and various marketing and fulfillment tools. This is a senior level role that is frontend focused, but requires a breadth of knowledge and a general level of comfort with backend tools like git, AWS, shell operations, hosting solutions, database development with SQL/ORM, Docker, and others. The candidate should have an understanding of the software development lifecycle as a whole, and experience using the Atlassian tool set to build software as part of a team. • Generate rocket motor concepts from high level thrust/burn time requirements, and refining into detailed grain and nozzle designs. • Collaborate to define propellant grain geometries and optimize burn rates, thrust curves, and pressure profiles. • Work with design engineers to communicate operating pressures, analysts to communicate temperature and load profiles, chemists to communicate ballistic requirements, and manufacturing engineers to ensure grain geometry can be produced. • Conducts research, design, and development activities with the goal of developing new or improved products, processes, or services. • Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability. • Utilizes CAD (Computer Aided Design) or CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.

• Lead and coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting and troubleshooting across multiple programs. • Lead an Integrated Project Team (IPT) to design, develop, manufacture, and deliver products. • Work with engineering management to plan, staff, and execute projects of all sizes. • Serve as engineering interface to program management, senior leadership, and the customer community. • Ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost. • Perform engineering design evaluations and work to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
