Data Analyst – Customer Operations

Utility Warehouse

• Join a small Business Intelligence team working within Operational Support • Interrogate data in Google Big Query and develop data pipelines for analysis and reporting • Build a portfolio of reports and dashboards using Looker Studio • Ensure business alignment, active adoption and trust in numbers • Curate trusted data models to enable self service analytics • Manage the access and distribution of reports • Adopt best practice data management techniques • Be accountable for servicing information to our operations managers and team leaders

Job Requirements

  • Solid experience in SQL
  • Experience with Google BigQuery preferable
  • Experience working with relational and non-relational data sources
  • Experience using Google Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio), or similar products
  • Data visualisation and data storytelling skills
  • Familiarity with data modelling concepts
  • Experience of requirements gathering and stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with fundamental statistical concepts
  • Highly diligent with exemplary attention to detail
  • Strong communicator with ability to articulate complex technical subject matter to non-technical users
  • Worked with data supporting a Contact Centre operational environment.

This dynamic role transforms complex grant management data into compelling visual stories through interactive dashboards, infographics, and data-driven presentations. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator who combines strong design sensibility with technical proficiency to inform decision-making and enable stakeholders to understand trends, patterns, and actionable insights. This position may be performed remotely from locations approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The Data Analyst I (Data Visualization Specialist) will provide expert visualization and design services supporting federal grant management operations. This position transforms complex data into accessible visual narratives that support program oversight, leadership briefings, and congressional reporting. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, and other tools. - Translate complex data analysis into clear, accessible visual stories for management meetings, conferences, leadership briefings, and congressional reporting. - Collaborate with federal staff, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and program leadership to understand visualization needs. - Design and maintain operational dashboards for grant management. - Ensure all visualizations meet federal accessibility standards (Section 508 compliance). - Develop interactive visualizations using D3.js and web-based tools. - Create templates, standardized visualization frameworks, style guides, and visualization libraries. - Utilize Figma, Canva, and Google Data Studio for design and prototyping. - Contribute to ongoing development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of national data systems. - Assist with leadership data requests and trend analyses. - Develop data-informed documentation including reports, improvement suggestions, metrics, dashboards, and guidance. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Data Visualization, Information Design, Data Science, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field from an accredited college or university. - A minimum of 3 years of relevant post-baccalaureate professional experience in data visualization. - U.S. Citizenship or legal work authorization to work in the United States.
