Role Description This position oversees diverse tax reporting and accounting functions, requiring an experienced professional to ensure high-quality deliverables from the shared service center. The role serves as a critical interface with tax advisors, tax authorities, local finance teams, and leadership across the Alight group. It also carries leadership responsibilities, including guiding, mentoring, and developing junior team members. Main Responsibilities - Handling the overall tax compliance matters of Alight International entities in Canada, Europe, Puerto Rico & India. - Managing Corporate tax, VAT/Indirect tax, WHT/TDS compliances across these regions. - Facilitate tax accounting activities of the international entities such as Provision preparation (Local as well as GAAP), Return to Provision & Reconciliations. - Handle the external advisors for compliances and internal and external audit teams including tax authorities. - Work on data compilation and assistance with Transfer Pricing compliance. - Manage international entities cash tax forecasting and budgeting activities. - Lead and mentor the team members by parting with subject knowledge and expertise to grow and strengthen the team. Qualifications - Minimum 10+ years of experience in international tax compliance including Corporate Income Tax, Indirect Tax & Withholding Tax in APAC, EMEA & NAM region. - Should have exposure into tax accounting activities such as Financial Statements provision preparation, Year End tax provision preparation, Return to Provision calculation and Reconciling tax GLs. - Experience with handling external advisory team for various compliance activities. - Experience with handling internal and external audits teams. - Experience with handling tax authority audits across all compliances. - Understanding of transfer pricing compliance matters. - Prior expertise in international entities cash tax forecast and budgeting activities. - Should have people management experience. - Capability to independently handle and solve complex tax requirements by doing research. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve tight deadlines. - Experience in ERP system Workday is desirable. - Education: Graduate in Commerce/ Qualified / Semi Qualified CA/ACCA/CMA or MBA (Finance). Role Description As our International Corporate Tax Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing H&R Block’s global tax strategy. This role will serve as a key point of ownership for international tax matters, including: - U.S. reporting of foreign operations - Global tax provision considerations - Cross-border planning initiatives Reporting to the Director, Corporate Tax, you’ll collaborate closely with finance, accounting, treasury, and legal, as well as external advisors, to ensure compliance with evolving global regulations while identifying opportunities to enhance the Company’s global tax profile and processes.
