Role Description The Senior Associate, Communications is a central connector helping to bring Cityblock’s mission to life for both internal and external audiences. You support the development and execution of integrated communication strategies by translating business priorities into clear, engaging, and aligned communications. The Sr. Associate is responsible for the publication of company-wide newsletters, managing cross-functional workflow requests, sourcing powerful stories and serving as a trusted partner for various internal teams like People and IT. We are looking for an agile, process-oriented communicator who is passionate about healthcare equity, curious about how people digest information, and interested in exploring AI tools to help our team work smarter. Responsibilities - Content Creation & Channel Management - Newsletter Production: Owns the day-to-day content development of company-wide newsletters, ensuring every edition is polished, on-brand, and reinforces our key priorities. - Multi-Channel Execution: Creates digestible content for the intranet, email, Slack, video, and our monthly All-Hands. - Intranet Maintenance: Act as the primary gatekeeper for the company intranet, ensuring resources are up-to-date, content is easy to find, and stakeholders understand best practices. - Social Media Management: Developing, editing, and publishing content for Cityblock's LinkedIn and monitoring comments, messages, and mentions. - Tactical Execution & Project Management - All-Hands Coordination: Support coordination and execution of monthly All-Hands meetings, including pre- and post-event communication, coordinating agendas, drafting slides, and liaising with stakeholders. - Storytelling Support: Supports sourcing and completion of virtual interviews with Cityblock members and employees. You’ll manage the logistics, from scheduling to securing legal releases, and draft the initial narratives for use across internal and external channels. - Editorial Review: Support colleagues across the company by proofreading and editing materials for tone, clarity, and consistency, ensuring all communications align with previously documented information. - Strategic Support & Change Management - Change Communications: Assist in implementing communication plans for organizational changes or policy shifts. - Situational Readiness: Support the broader team during "quick response" moments by drafting templates and organizing communications. - AI & Innovation: Experiment with AI tools to help draft content more efficiently and find new ways to scale our storytelling efforts. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience. - 3+ years of experience in internal or corporate communications. - Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, ClickUp, Gemini and basic video editing technology.
