Precast Design Engineer
Fisher Associates
• Lead and execute precast engineering and design tasks efficiently. • Collaborate with project teams to deliver structurally sound, cost-effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs. • Perform and review structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety under various loads and conditions. • Select materials and components for precast concrete production that meet strength, durability, and sustainability standards. • Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications for precast projects aligned with industry design standards. • Support cost estimation for materials. • Support Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle. • Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables. • Guide and mentor junior staff.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master’s preferred
- 5 -10 years minimum Precast concrete design engineering experience
- Experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures preferred
- Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE-7, AASHTO
- Familiarity with IBC codes a plus
- Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & RISA 3D
