The engineering team are seeking talented Design Engineers based in either the Americas or San Francisco to own and elevate the user-facing experience of this rapidly growing platform. Our client views developer experience as a core product philosophy and obsesses over intuitive design and polished interfaces. This role is ideal for a deeply technical individual who possesses a sharp eye for aesthetics and the ability to build features end-to-end, with a heavy focus on frontend excellence (approximately 70%) and a supporting contribution to the backend (approximately 30%). Key Responsibilities - Experience Elevation: Continuously improve the look, feel, and usability of the platform by rethinking navigation, redesigning workflows, and raising the visual bar on every surface of the product. - Design System Leadership: Build and maintain a robust, reusable component library to ensure the engineering team can ship polished UI consistently and efficiently. - End-to-End Implementation: Take features from initial concept through to production across the full stack, ensuring the final output is both functional and beautiful. - Design Advocacy: Serve as the primary design voice within the engineering department, unblocking colleagues on UX questions, critiquing implementations, and championing intuitive UI. - Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with the co-founders and the broader engineering team to explore creative product directions and refine existing user experiences.

Ideally, contributors will have:  - Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, e.g. Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Design, Computational Mechanics, etc. - 3+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience - Strong written English (C1/C2) - Strong Python proficiency for numerical validation - Stable internet connection  Professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, PMP) and experience in international or applied projects are an advantage.
