Job Description

Automation Engineering Manager – Flex Location

UPS

• Collaborates with warehouse engineers on conceptual designs • Works closely with customers and vendors to finalize system design • Works closely with UPS sales resources to present proposals to customers and obtain a signature on Statement of Work (SOW) • Selects appropriate vendor based on capabilities and other selection criteria • Works with selected vendor to transform conceptual designs into a customer proposal • Manages the implementation of the design within the customer facility • Oversees vendors and timelines with the assistance of the assigned project manager • Responsible for holding vendors accountable to the statement of work for each respective project • Responsible for the overall success of the project from end to end • Potential for extensive travel up to 75% or more

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent
  • Experience implementing logistics and technology-based solutions
  • Experience implementing warehouse automation systems
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience working with vendors
