Teaching Assistant
Woore Primary and Nursery School
Role Description We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our caring and supportive school. The successful applicant must be willing to work across the school where needed to support a range of children with SEND. Experience of working in all key stages would be an advantage but not essential. This role can be combined with our Lunchtime Supervisor and After School Club Supervisor vacancies to form a single 22.33-hour term-time position. Candidates are encouraged to apply for all three roles. The applicant will be required to work as follows: - Teaching Assistant: Mon to Tues 1.00-3.25 and Wed-Fri 1.00-3.15 (11.58 hours per week) The successful applicant will: - Have a good understanding of the EYFS Framework and KS1 and 2 Curriculums - Have experience of teaching phonics and early reading - Be dedicated to support pupils with SEND - Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and positive behaviour management - The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team - Be innovative and resourceful - Have energy, enthusiasm and drive - Have a sense of humour and fun Benefits - A supportive and cohesive staff team - Pleasant, modern learning environment - Extensive outdoors with forest school - Strong links with the community - Enthusiastic young learners - Commitment to Continued Professional Development Visits to the school are strongly recommended.
