• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits • Perform testing: LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, IR scans • Assign work, track progress, and keep jobs on schedule • Perform operations and maintenance (O&M) on utility-scale solar plants • Inspect completed work and ensure it meets quality and safety standards • Enforce safety requirements (OSHA, NFPA 70E) on-site • Diagnose system issues and resolve them in the field • Complete work orders, service logs, and required documentation • Operate and maintain company vehicle and tools • Train and support junior technicians in the field
Job Requirements
- 1+ years of utility-scale solar experience (solar farms / ground-mount systems)
- Experience working on megawatt-scale PV systems (NOT residential rooftop solar)
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills (inverters, DC systems, power electronics)
- Experience with solar O&M / maintenance work
- Working knowledge of OSHA / NFPA 70E safety standards
- Experience using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and testing equipment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
