The ideal candidate will work across the organization as a champion of DBA services and best practices and will oversee database systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest reliability and performance possible. Responsibilities Architect, design, and oversee the development and administration of databases company wide on-prem and in cloud, including database services to support a next-generation Animation Pipeline Create data strategy artifacts such as policy, governance and instructions, capabilities descriptions, metadata implementation specifications, product format specifications, and interface description specifications Provide oversight of data architecture engineering, data management support, solutions, tracking efficiencies, and meeting net-centric and data-centric objectives Evaluate, maintain, and re-engineer existing databases to use cloud services or new, more efficient database techniques and infrastructure Produce and prepare activity and progress reports regarding database status, health, and management Create Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, Views, data dictionaries and other database objects, as well as manage Rollback Segments, Data File Size, and all the other aspects related to performance tuning Ensure data integrity and accuracy to ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and up-to-date, and implementing data validation rules and data quality controls Create, implement, and maintain database systems logging and performance monitoring solutions/services Setup database authentication strategy and profiles such as username / password, PKI, LDAP, etc. Ensure Patch and Vulnerability management of enterprise database systems. Identify and correct potential database service security weaknesses Create backup and recovery plans and procedures based on industry best practices, including testing to ensure recovery is successful Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues related to databases, such as system crashes, data corruption, or connectivity problems Plan and executes database upgrades and migrations to database software, hardware, and infrastructure, and migrating data to new systems as necessary Provide database-related support and training to technology teams, production teams, and end-users Maintain documentation of database structures, procedures, and policies, and ensures that documentation is kept current and up to date Create work products such as entity relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams, structure charts, data structure diagrams, and pseudo code to properly evangelize and explain Database services to Engineers, Leadership, and other Studio Teams Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with team members to implement efficiency Act in a senior capacity, providing direction and oversight; additionally, act as a mentor to junior team members Requirements

• The Database Administrator is responsible for all aspects of database administration, configuration, monitoring, and deployment of Microsoft SQL databases and database build packages in the Production environment as well as other non-production environments. • Collaborate with internal and external teams to optimize and update database operations and ensure continuous improvement in monitoring and performance. • Performs all work in accordance with company’s quality programs, standards and procedures. • Provides technical leadership to the development team in resolving development and implementation issues related to the database infrastructure. • Responsible for participation in determining strategic architecture direction. • Review technical documents to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance with enterprise directions and security standards. • Devise plans for patching and upgrading the database infrastructure. • Develop and maintain all standards pursuant to data structures and models, review data models and frameworks/blueprints. • Responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, such as database backups, index rebuilding, and statistics gathering. • Responsible for performance tuning of data retrieval and data loading program units. • Responsible for capacity planning and performing Volumetric Analysis. • Work with clients, business analysts, technical staff, and project team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases. • Provides full-life cycle product roadmaps for the database infrastructure. • Reviews operational data structures and recommends optimizations and reconfigurations as warranted. • Identify potential strategic data-related technology partners, evaluate and/or assess potential data-related tools and technologies. • Work closely with 3rd party vendors to integrate selected packages. Recommend and evaluate new tools and methodologies. • Conduct proof of concept and evaluate new features available for Microsoft SQL or related Database technologies and perform cost benefit analysis as applicable. • Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility. • Develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect sensitive information.

• Provides day-to-day operational support for all assigned databases and platforms • Lead design and implementation of new installations to support approved projects and initiatives • Perform needed database management by monitoring and maintaining assigned systems; including backup & recovery, updates, patches, hotfixes and working with the Systems Engineering team to plan for additional capacity as needed to meet the business need • Develop and maintain policies and procedures needed for the maintenance and continuity of assigned systems • Assist with solution design, including database schema, developing stored procedures & functions, and SQL query tuning using the SQL server toolset • Design, develop, implement, and maintain system interfaces needed to streamline and automate business processes • Develop and maintain documentation of all developed solutions • Coordinate with cross-functional initiatives toward project completion while maintaining Global standards and practices • Provide advanced technical support for IT Systems Engineers, Support Engineers, and Service Desk • Mentor team members to ensure cross-training for assigned systems and applications

• Architects and administers enterprise database schemas, orchestrating long-range requirements while designing, implementing, and maintaining complex database objects with rigorous quality control and security protocols. • Specializes in ECWM database operations, ensuring mission-critical DoD contracting data achieves optimal performance while maintaining zero-downtime requirements and strict compliance standards for Government contracting operations.
