• Provides software testing experience (integration and acceptance). • Capable of designing and executing IT software tests and evaluating results to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. • Prepare test scripts and all required test documentation. • Design and prepare all needed test data. • Analyzes internal security within systems. • Reviews test results and evaluates for conformance to design.

• Provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, and applications implications. • Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. • Assists in the planning and conversion for new hardware/software products. • Maintains currency, debugs and configures related software products. • Provides operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades. • Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications. • Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. • Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system. • Prepares product documentation. • Interfaces with customers to gather information on system requirements or problems.

• Ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections. • This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication links. • Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems. • Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues. • Conducts capacity and performance analysis and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. • Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment. • Provides end user training. • Provides recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision. • Provides local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location. • Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications. • Directs the work of other system administrators to provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance. • Applies advanced technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance. • Performs vulnerability management.

• Reviews existing solutions with development team to identify proper restructure into micro-services model utilizing best industry best practices. • Facilitates the development of new software solutions into microservices model utilizing best industry best practices. • Develops and sustains microservices factory utilizing COTS and open source solutions to automate the creation, deployment, and management CI/CD pipeline.

• Facilitates the development of new software solutions and transition of existing solutions from monolithic structures to micro-service structure operating within hardened containers. • Works with application development teams to refactor or create solutions that leverage the DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline and tools. • Instructs/guides teams through their solution development. • Deploys and sustain microservices factory utilizing COTS and open-source solutions.

• Serves as a cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) with regards to Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of information systems and all associated cybersecurity policies and procedures. • Performs a DOW cybersecurity process while either authorizing an information system or serving as a SME for an information system undergoing authorization. • Possess an understanding of how the security controls identified in the NIST 800-53 apply to the process of assessing and authorizing a large organization’s IT infrastructure such as DLA’s, in which there is a compilation of large and small enclaves, AIS applications and outsourced IT processes. • Determines the applicable severity value for an identified vulnerability (e.g., non-compliant security control), and determines the possible ramifications on the system’s current or future authorization. • Briefs senior management on the progress or results of an information system undergoing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.

• Provides support in collecting and organizing information required for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports. • Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents. • Provides support in performing financial and administrative tasks. • Under general supervision, is responsible for preparing and/or maintaining systems, programming, and operations documentation, procedures and methods. • Maintains a current internal documentation library. • Provides or coordinates special documentation services as required.

• Learn the fundamentals of Appian low-code application development and business process automation. • Shadow experienced consultants to gain real-world insight into designing, developing, and implementing Appian solutions. • Assist in building Appian applications, workflows, interfaces, reports, and business processes under the guidance of senior developers. • Participate in application testing, quality assurance, and defect resolution activities. • Support the integration and configuration of Appian applications with enterprise systems. • Research Appian best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends, and present findings to the team. • Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and user documentation. • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues. • Participate in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and collaborative problem-solving activities. • Develop training materials and resources to support end-user adoption. • Continuously expand your technical knowledge while developing consulting, communication, and presentation skills.
