Labor Analyst, Financial Analyst 1

• Managing all aspects of the labor process, such as approving transactions, importing timesheets, timesheet audit and review of labor postings • Work with the project teams to process labor corrections and respond to any queries about labor postings • Work with the payroll team on any queries regarding labor postings • Stay up to date with labor legislation • Ensure compliance with all payroll/labor and organizational policies • Review the monthly reconciliation of all labor-related accounts • Ensure timely and professional responses to labor and payroll questions • Coordinate with internal & external audits • Assist the general ledger team in account reconciliations and manage labor discrepancies quickly and efficiently
Job Requirements
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
- Experience with Costpoint & Deltek T&E
- Experience with managing high volume of employee timesheets
- Excellent excel skills
- Familiarity with labor legislation and federal tax laws
- The ability to ethically work with employee-sensitive information
- Solid knowledge of data entry management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members

• Responsible for timely and accurate completion of regulatory required statutory reporting, including the Annual and Quarterly Statements, MD&A, statutory audited financial statements and any associated filing. • Support coordination and preparation of certain GAAP, quarterly and annual statements; and related analysis, including, but not limited to related footnotes and analytics. • Prepare analysis and utilize reporting tools to obtain information from the general ledger (Oracle) and/or financial data warehouse as required to assist with the reconciliation and analytic duties related to position. • Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations including supporting analysis when applicable • Support compliance with internal control procedures and documentation of controls (i.e., Review and approval control binders) • Support internal and external (EY) audits and statutory insurance department examinations, as needed. • Pursue path of continuous process improvement (including automation) opportunities to identify and provide recommendations.
• Take ownership of development of internal tool solutions • Build experiences across the stack using primarily Python, and on occasion Kotlin • Write well-tested, high quality code, with an eye towards generics and re-use • Work closely with design and product teams to regularly ship working features • Participate in release planning and deployment of released build • Mentor and advise team members • Evaluate and deliver timeline estimates for projects
