Tax Associate

• Prepare and file U.S. sales and use tax returns for multiple jurisdictions on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis • Prepare sales and use tax data for compliance, reconciliations, and reporting • Respond to state and local tax notices and assist with audit inquiries • Support sales and use tax audits by compiling data, reviewing workpapers, and providing documentation • Prepare and manage resale and exemption certificates for customers and vendors • Analyze purchases to determine use tax accrual requirements • Prepare tax-related journal entries and assist with general ledger reconciliations • Provide analytical support for tax compliance, reporting, and system-related issues • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve tax reporting and compliance issues • Participate in special projects, including tax research, process improvements, and internal reviews
Job Requirements
- 1 year of experience in U.S. tax and accounting
- Solid accounting knowledge, including journal entries, debits/credits, trial balances, and general ledger accounts
- Experience preparing and analyzing large datasets in Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, IF formulas)
- Experience working with tax returns and meeting strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Role Description We are seeking a diligent and organized Tax Administrative Coordinator to join a US-based company.
