Role Description Design Lead to oversee design quality across our conversion and retention teams. You'll be the creative point of contact for clients - the person they turn to for design direction and creative decisions. You'll manage a team of digital designers who work on Shopify UI/UX and email/SMS creative, ensuring the work that ships is high-quality, on-brand, and built to convert. You're still hands-on designing, but you're also responsible for mentoring designers, maintaining standards, and elevating the quality of design across everything we do. What You'll Do - Serve as the creative point of contact for clients - fielding design questions, presenting creative direction, and ensuring client satisfaction with design work - Oversee design quality across all conversion and retention pods - Manage and mentor digital designers on your team - Ensure consistency, brand alignment, and CRO best practices across all design work - Design Shopify UI/UX - landing pages, PDPs, collection pages, carts, checkout experiences - Design email and SMS creative for retention campaigns and flows - Collaborate with Senior PMs, Retention Strategists, and Tech Leads to deliver client work - Establish and maintain design standards, templates, and processes - Review and provide feedback on all design work before it ships - Stay current on e-commerce design trends and CRO best practices Qualifications - Proven experience leading or managing designers - Strong portfolio showing both web/UI design and email design - Deep expertise in Figma - Expertise in CRO best practices - you design for conversion, not just aesthetics - Understanding of e-commerce UX, especially for Shopify - Familiarity with Shopify and Klaviyo as platforms - you understand their capabilities and constraints - Familiarity with low-code/no-code page builder tools like Replo, Instant, Framer, and Webflow - Baseline understanding of front-end development - you know how to design for developers and follow best practices that make implementation smooth - Comfortable being client-facing for creative conversations - Ability to give clear, constructive feedback that elevates others' work - Ability to balance hands-on design work with leadership responsibilities - Genuine passion for CPG brands and the subscription commerce space - AI-native mindset - you use tools like Claude to enhance your work, not replace your thinking Who are you for us? - You're a leader and a maker.
