Role Description VAM Systems is currently looking for a Data Engineer (Offshore) for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms & conditions: - Design and implement scalable data pipelines to support AI banking initiatives - Collaborate with data scientists to prepare and transform data for model training - Develop and maintain data lake and data warehouse solutions - Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across platforms - Integrate data from core banking systems, digital channels, and external sources - Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency - Support real-time and batch data processing using modern data frameworks - Implement data governance policies and metadata management Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, BE Computer Science and Engineering - 7 - 10 years of experience - Professional Certifications Required: Google Cloud Certified – Professional Data Engineer or equivalent Requirements - Ability to design and build scalable data pipelines - Knowledge of data modeling and warehousing concepts - Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) - Ability to work with structured and unstructured data - Understanding of data governance and security - Ability to support AI/ML model deployment and data preparation - Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data orchestration tools Company Description
