Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech The Director, US Animal Health Channel & Key Accounts leads the U.S. Animal Health commercial engagement model, with accountability for indirect (channel) sales execution, omni-channel customer engagement, and key account strategy. This role drives distributor partner performance (including through human distributors, like Medline), expands direct-to-customer digital and eCommerce pathways (including VetCove), and delivers profitable growth across corporate and academic/teaching institution segments. The Director partners closely with Channel Strategy, Marketing, Professional Education, Contracting/Pricing, Finance, and Data/Analytics to translate insights into action and execute an integrated go-to-market plan. Key responsibilities include: - Own U.S. Animal Health commercial performance across an indirect (distributor-fulfilled) sales model, including forecast, operating cadence, and growth delivery - Lead channel partner strategy and governance, including the master distributor model, performance expectations, and partner scorecards - Design and execute channel commercial programs with distributor partners to drive volume growth and competitive wins - Partner with Contracting and Pricing to implement a simplified contracting and price enablement approach; drive compliance and operational execution through channel partners - Lead cross-functional annual planning (BP/MTP), including resource prioritization and budget management across channel programs, omni-channel initiatives, and key accounts - In partnership with Marketing, Professional Education and Digital & Commercial Innovation teams, ensure consistent value proposition delivery through distributor enablement, society engagement, and hands-on training experiences - Ensure activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Johnson & Johnson policies, including the HCC program and Business Code of Conduct Team / Scope: Leads a team of direct reports dedicated to delivering the US Animal Health commercial strategy, including the design and scaling of: - Key account strategies and joint business plans for corporate and large group customers (e.g., Mars, ETHOS and other aggregators) as well as teaching institutions and corporate wet-lab sites - Professional Education strategy and execution, including hands-on training, Key Opinion Leader/Thought Leader development, Symposium Events & Conferences, Advisory Boards and Peer-to-Peer learning - Omni-channel customer engagement, including direct-to-customer digital and eCommerce pathways (including VetCove) to improve customer experience and price transparency - Data-driven decisions by defining KPIs, Analytics & Insights on targeting, post-sale analytics, and performance tracking Qualifications Education: - Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Marketing, or Finance preferred - MBA preferred Required: - Minimum 10 years of commercial experience (animal health, healthcare, or related), including leadership in channel/partner management, key accounts, and/or omni-channel commercialization; minimum 5 years of people leadership. - Demonstrated leadership capability including the confidence to lead and manage through change. - Track record of success working within a matrix organizational environment and enterprise mindset decision-making. - Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning and project management with documented results. - Strong business and financial acumen; uses metrics to manage performance and trade-offs. - Proven track record of mentoring and developing talent and building a diverse pipeline. - Strong stakeholder management skills, including influence and solution-oriented collaboration.
