Job Description

Asset Resolution Specialist

Backflip

• Manage a portfolio of delinquent loans and implement customized loss mitigation strategies for each borrower, owning the file from initial default through final resolution. • Analyze workout options — foreclosure, short sale, reinstatement, and deed in lieu, based on financial impact to the investor, and deliver well-reasoned proposals for the optimal resolution path. • Work closely with investors to negotiate loss mitigation strategies, set clear expectations on outcomes, and maintain strong relationships throughout the process. • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers navigating financial hardship, guiding them through available options with empathy, directness, and deep knowledge of the loss mitigation process. • Maintain real-time accuracy across all servicing systems, ensuring every loan status, communication, and decision is promptly documented and fully transparent to internal stakeholders. • Identify process gaps, generate ideas for increased efficiency, and support the implementation of new initiatives that strengthen the Special Servicing Team’s execution.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience required.
  • 2+ years of mortgage experience preferred, with direct familiarity in loss mitigation processes.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex guidelines clearly to both borrowers and investors.
  • General knowledge of the full loss mitigation process, including foreclosure, short sale, reinstatement, and deed in lieu.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a high-volume delinquent loan pipeline and drive accounts to resolution.
  • Strong negotiation skills and comfort navigating difficult conversations with distressed borrowers and demanding investors.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and maintain consistent execution in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits
