People Partner

Solen Software Group

Role Description Solen is growing quickly and we are looking for a hands-on People Partner who is excited to help build the People infrastructure. This is a great role for someone who thrives in a startup-style environment, enjoys creating structure, and is comfortable moving between strategy and execution. You will play a key role in supporting People Operations, benefits, payroll and compliance across multiple entities and countries. Key Responsibilities - Help document, and improve People processes, policies, and workflows across Solen and its portfolio companies. - Support onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and HRIS data management across multiple entities and locations. - Support benefits administration, including new hire enrollment, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and employee questions. - Partner with brokers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve benefits issues. - Support payroll operations across US, Canada, UK, Portugal, Brazil, and other locations as Solen grows. - Partner with payroll providers and EOR partners to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. - Help maintain compliance with domestic and international employment, payroll, and benefits requirements. - Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes. - Prepare reports related to headcount, payroll, benefits, turnover, and other people metrics. - Support acquisition integration efforts from a people operations perspective. Qualifications - 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally with exposure to payroll, benefits, HR operations, and global people support. - Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, startup, private equity, software, or multi-entity environment preferred. - Comfort operating in ambiguity and building processes from the ground up. - Experience with HRIS, payroll, or global payroll platforms such as Deel, Rippling, TriNet, Gusto, Paychex, or similar systems. - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion. - Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities. - Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach. - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Requirements - The expected salary for this position is: $80,000-$100,000 USD OTE. Salary is based on a number of factors including market conditions, location and may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. Benefits - This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing company where the people function is still being built. - You will have the chance to help create processes, improve systems, support employees across multiple countries, and help shape how the People Operations team operates as Solen continues to scale. Solen-isms (How We Operate) - Ownership Mindset: We own the mission. We don't wait to be told. We lead, fix, and build as if it were ours. When problems arise, we run toward them, not away. - Benchmark to Best: We seek out excellence. We measure ourselves against the best and adapt quickly, always looking for the edge that moves us forward. - Openly Self-Critical: Leaders go first: they surface their misses early, ask for direct feedback, and turn “game film” into better decisions and better systems. - Disagree & Commit: Leaders disagree openly and constructively, regardless of title or tenure, because truth is how we avoid bureaucracy and benchmark to best. - Figureitoutiveness: Embracing challenges, fostering growth, and taking initiative, leaders thrive on hard work and high failure tolerance. - Mutual Elevation: Committed to growth, elevating teams, developing future leaders, and removing barriers to mastery and joy. - Learn-it-alls: Learn-it-alls, not know-it-alls, embracing failure as part of growth and progress. - Pioneering: Pioneering driven by opportunity, using first principles thinking and unbound by tradition or rules. - Will to Win: Leaders relentlessly pursue potential, reject mediocrity, and get what they tolerate. - Dialectical: We learn through conversation. We ask, listen, question, and evolve — valuing disagreement as a tool for alignment and deeper understanding. - Frugality: Achieving more with less, focusing on quality, long-term value, and company-wide responsibility. - Candor: We communicate with integrity, transparency, and respect in all conversations. - Kaizen: Kaizen is continuous improvement as a way of life. Leaders make hundreds of small upgrades that compound, turning lessons into standards and standards into durable systems. Recruitment Disclaimer Solen Software Group will never request payment, banking information, or other sensitive personal or financial details during any stage of the recruitment process. All official communication will come from a verified @solensoftwaregroup.com email address. Any outreach outside these standards should be disregarded and reported through our official channels.
