Role Description Remedies Pharmacy is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician with experience using PrimeRx pharmacy software. The ideal candidate will assist with prescription processing, refill management, insurance-related tasks, and communication with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive timely and accurate service. - Enter and process prescription information accurately in PrimeRx. - Manage and process automatic prescription refills for patients. - Contact physicians' offices to obtain prior authorizations and prescription approvals. - Verify prescription information and ensure compliance with pharmacy procedures. - Assist pharmacists with prescription workflow and patient support. - Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. - Resolve prescription-related issues and follow up on pending requests. - Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations. - Support daily pharmacy operations and administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications - Previous Pharmacy Technician experience required. - Experience using PrimeRx pharmacy software strongly preferred. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling prescriptions. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Experience handling prior authorizations and insurance-related pharmacy processes is a plus. - Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and prescription workflow.
