Senior Cell Therapy Clinical Educator

Role Description Legend Biotech is seeking a Senior Cell Therapy Clinical Educator as part of the Commercial team based in the Carolina's territory (Remote/Field Based position in: NC, SC, WV, V). The Cell Therapy Clinical Educator (CTCE) are field based commercial personnel responsible for providing clinical education for the Legend Biotech brands primarily focused on PI-based and disease state education to non-physician patient care teams (PCTs), including nurses, nurse navigators, pharmacists, and other advanced practice providers (APPs), such as Nurse Practitioners and Physician’s Assistants to drive positive patient experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Build external relationships with PCTs (RN, NP, PA, D., Nurse Navigators) and develop and manage a geographical territory. - Develop and maintain a strategic territory plan that meets customer educational needs and clinical challenges, through analysis of account dynamics and clinical insights. - Educate PCTs on disease state awareness, as well as, both clinical and operational aspects of appropriate patient identification. - Educate PCTs on the clinical profile of products including but not limited to clinical benefits and administration requirements. - Provide education programs through 1:1 presentation, round table discussions, or formal presentations. - Provide education to patients in patient advocacy meeting settings. - Master all aspects of the clinical and administrative profile of a new cancer medication. - Teach key external stakeholders (infusion nurses, other medical staff) on the infusion process associated with a new cancer medication. - Understand, translate and communicate relevant clinical education topics to diverse audiences. - Utilize strategic questioning and actively listen to routinely document and share PCT clinical insights from customer engagements that take place within accounts or at national, regional, and local meetings. - Utilize clinical insights to shape local education strategy and build strategic account educational plans. - Attend and provide clinical information and/or presentations at national, regional, and local meetings. - Provide staff support, as appropriate at exhibit booths and displays as required. - In collaboration with supervisor develops, implements, and documents performance and development plan. - Participate in projects as assigned by management. - Perform all administrative requirements in a timely, accurate and compliant manner (e.g., expense reports, documentation of activities). - Provide regional and local support to clinically enhance sales training initiatives and improve clinical competencies of field personnel in partnership with Legend Learning and Development Team. - Support the assigned therapeutic areas within the Legend Biotech portfolio and compliantly collaborate internally across functional areas as it relates to the Oncology business including sales, marketing, Medical Science Liaisons, etc. - Maintain thorough understanding and competence in the following areas: Oncology Clinical Educator mission, vision and rules of engagement; operating company labeled scientific data; market dynamics and competitive landscape; regulatory and health care compliance guidelines; corporate policies on appropriate business conduct and ethical behavior; relevant SOPs and guidelines. - Stays current in clinical developments related to specific disease states. - Develops and maintains advanced presentation skills to facilitate effective communication of clinical information. - Documents all interactions, clinical insights and customer profile information daily as directed. - Attends clinically relevant meetings for personal/professional development. - Maintains the highest level of professional standards in all interactions with customers and other business contacts. Qualifications - Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in a health science field (RN, NP, PA, etc). - Advanced degree also considered. - Minimum of 10 years nursing experience or 5 years Oncology experience. - Clinical practice experience in immune effector cell therapy/bone marrow transplant (required if no previous in-house industry experience). - Involvement/membership in ONS (Oncology Nursing Society). - Previous in-house industry sales or clinical educator experience. - Experience with Multiple Myeloma. - Exceptional interpersonal, and communication (written and presentation) skills. - Demonstrated ability to access and understand challenges and educational needs of stakeholders and accounts within the assigned geography. - Proven customer focus. - Demonstration of strong in-person and virtual presentation and engagement skills. - Superior clinical skills and business acumen with the proven ability to excel in a technically complex and ambiguous environment. - Exceptional collaborator who can effectively develop and work with internal functional partners and external customers. - Demonstrated ability to identify critical activities and tasks and adjusts priorities to meet organizational goals and objectives. - Demonstrated ability to read situations quickly, anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks. - Valid driver’s license. - Agility in multi-tasking. - Able to travel 75% of the time. - Proven track record of attaining organizational and personal objectives. - Ability to perform administrative responsibilities accurately and on time. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
