Reporting directly to the Director, Food and Nutrition, US, you will be the driving force behind fostering a culture of collaboration and employee engagement within your team. What would be your main responsibilities as a Sales Manager? - Drive performance and shape the future of the business by aligning your team to the Food & Nutrition Group and Corporate Vision, setting clear direction and delivering strong sales results. - Own and deliver on commercial success for your territory, including sales, GM$ and GM% targets, while partnering cross-functionally to support healthy cash flow and proactively mitigate financial risk. - Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing sales team fostering both strong commercial outcomes and a people-first culture aligned with Quadra’s mission and values. - Bring discipline and visibility to the business by actively managing the opportunity pipeline, monitoring team performance, and ensuring a rigorous and consistent approach to achieving financial objectives. - Foster employee engagement and promote close collaboration between the sales team and other internal and external teams within the business group and company. - Shape and optimize your team structure, working closely with the Director of Food and Nutrition to ensure the appropriate resource of the sales team to ensure effective and aligned customer account coverage aligned with business priorities. - Attract and select top talent, partnering with HR and business leaders to build a strong, diverse, and high-performing sales organization. - Act as key commercial partner while supporting the Marketing teams through direct and sustained involvement with their Suppliers that have a focus on the assigned portfolio to ensure we deliver for current and future supplier partner’s expectations. - Review customer contracts in collaboration with the Corporate Risk group, providing recommendations for execution to the Business Segment Manager, Director or higher-level of execution authority. - Represent Quadra in the market, actively participating in industry events and associations to build your network, strengthen our brand presence, and stay ahead of market trends. - Lead from the front with customers, coaching and supporting your team through active participation in customer meetings—both in-person and virtually—to drive engagement and win business. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Business or Chemistry related field. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales or a related commercial role, including 7–10 years of progressive experience in complex commercial environments, and at least 3 years of proven direct people management experience. - Established network in the industry will be a strong asset for this role. Requirements - Strong sales leadership capabilities, with a hands-on and field-oriented approach; actively engages in customer interactions, supports joint sales calls, and removes barriers to accelerate business growth. - Demonstrated ability and willingness to travel extensively (including trade shows, regional and national industry events, and customer visits) with no restrictions. - Broad commercial mindset with strong understanding of distribution models, commodity markets, and business drivers within the ingredients and chemical industries. - Solid experience in chemical and/or ingredient distribution environments. - Technical acumen in ingredients and/or chemical sectors, with the ability to quickly identify and leverage internal technical expertise when needed. - Proven people leadership with expertise in coaching and fostering motivation and inspiration within teams. - Highly organized with strong prioritization skills; demonstrates structured, analytical (“engineering mindset”) approach to problem-solving and execution. - Strong project management, negotiation and mediation capabilities. - Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills. - Highly driven with strong business acumen and a solid understanding of commercial dynamics. - Advanced proficiency in computer software, including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office 365 Suite, Power BI and a CRM such as Salesforce. - Demonstrates creativity, innovation and proven ability to think strategically. - Strong self and time management skills, able to balance competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines. - Excellent listening skills, empathetic, and capable of responding with urgency when necessary. - Strong analytical skills, able to distill and synthesize a lot of market information into a strategic or tactical thrust. - Valid passport and driver’s license. - Strong willingness and availability to travel for at least 40% of working time (including some overnight).
