Job Description

Retail Expansion, Business Development Manager

Funzy

• You love inspiring people, spotting new opportunities and turning ideas into real revenue? Then this could be the role for you. • As Retail Expansion & Business Development Manager you bring Funzy out of the digital world and directly to people: via pop-up locations, events and trade shows across the DACH region. • You develop new locations and partnerships, create memorable experiences around our products and turn first encounters into long-term enthusiasm. • You bring Funzy to the major cities of the DACH region and take full operational and strategic responsibility for our monthly pop-up stores from A to Z — including location scouting, logistics, team management, live sales and post-event analysis. • You are responsible for a seven-figure revenue channel with clear targets, manage budgets and KPIs and keep both growth and profitability in mind. • You ensure that every sales location reflects the Funzy brand optimally — creative, high-quality and absolutely “Insta-ready”. • Over time you will take a central role in building our first Funzy flagship store and actively shape how we further develop our offline presence in the coming years. • You establish long-term partnerships and place Funzy where families spend time: from family cafés and family hotels to concept stores and experiential venues. • You develop creative activations, events and campaigns that generate attention, bring people together and drive sales. • You work closely with our marketing team and intelligently extend offline experiences into the digital world. • You recruit, train and motivate local promoters and event teams and ensure that every activation is a success. • You roll up your sleeves and are the driving force on-site behind our pop-ups and activations.

Job Requirements

  • You have experience in areas such as retail expansion, store management, field sales, trade marketing or business development, ideally in a dynamic start-up, DTC or consumer environment.
  • You are a true organizational talent, work solution-oriented and keep an overview even when many things are happening at once.
  • You are a doer and like to get hands-on: from negotiation meetings to setting up a pop-up store.
  • You proactively approach people, build relationships and enjoy negotiating strong partnerships and good deals.
  • You love achieving goals, making successes visible and get energy when an idea turns into revenue.
  • You have a good sense for families, parents and children and understand what moves our target group.
  • You enjoy variety and being on the road. Around 40-50% of your working time will be spent traveling within the DACH region.
  • You speak fluent German and very good English.

Benefits

  • The opportunity to actively help build and shape a completely new sales channel
  • Significant responsibility, short decision-making paths and fast implementation
  • Direct influence on revenue and company success
  • Attractive compensation package including a performance-based bonus component
  • Modern working with home office between event phases
  • Entitlement to a shared office desk, MacBook and modern tools
  • An ambitious team with lots of energy, humor and team spirit
  • Unforgettable team events and offsites
  • Attractive employee discounts for you and exclusive perks for family & friends
