Business Intelligence Data Systems Architect

• Design, build, test, deploy, document, and maintain Power BI reporting solutions and semantic models, including the SQL queries, data pipelines, and dependent systems that power them—continuously assessing platform capabilities, performance, and governance. • Work with IT Leadership, Informatics - Data Management, IT Operations and IT - Business Systems on researching, developing, testing, deploying and documenting new methods and tools for ingestion, processing, sending and sharing of data. • Plan, coordinate and implement security measures (including regular audits) to safeguard information in reporting platforms and computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. • Specify users and user access levels for each segment of the reporting platforms, as needed. • Select, develop and deploy code to monitor reporting platform performance • Develop reference and workflow documents for documentation purposes. • Revise agency definition of data as defined in data dictionary in regards to reporting and visualizations.
Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree and a minimum four (4) years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: healthcare claims environment and reporting development
- demonstrated experience in n-tier development and support including Microsoft SQL database development including relational and star schema data warehouses
- ETL, including the following software and tools: Power BI, SQL Server 2008 R2 or above, Visual Studio Professional\Enterprise 2017 or above, Azure Dev Ops, AWS, SSMS, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, Advanced SQL, C#, .NET, PowerShell
- Requires certification. Applicable certification(s) may be substituted to equivalent degree and experience requirements; OR Equivalent combination of education/experience
- Two-year degrees require certification
- Must have a valid driver’s license
