Senior Business Analyst - Marketing & Demand

Role Description As a Senior Business Analyst - Marketing & Demand, you'll be part of the Business Intelligence team and the central point of contact for the entire demand side of our global marketplace. You create transparency around buyer behavior, funnel performance, and the effectiveness of our marketing investments, translating complex data signals into clear, actionable recommendations with real business impact. You work closely with Growth Senior Leadership and you're not just a numbers supplier, but a sparring partner on equal footing: you defend your assessments with data-driven conviction - even when they're uncomfortable. What you can expect - Demand Analytics: Analyze the entire buyer funnel - from traffic and awareness through conversion, retention, and LTV, including cohort analyses, segmentations, and customer journey views. - Marketing Performance & Attribution: Evaluate marketing activities across all channels - brand, paid, CRM, PR, social, and SEO, assessing channel efficiency based on ROAS and incrementality measurement. - Planning, Scenarios & Budget Management: Work closely with controlling, maintain and provide commentary on plan figures, develop scenario analyses on demand changes, and actively shape budget allocation. - Your Environment: Sit in the BI team with closest interfaces being Growth & Marketing (primary stakeholder), Controlling (co-pilot for planning and budgeting), and Senior Leadership (recipient of your insights). - Proactive Growth Impulses: Independently identify efficiency and growth opportunities, develop concrete recommendations, and bring them to discussions with marketing and senior leadership. Qualifications - At least six years of experience in marketing analytics, growth analytics, or a comparable analytical role - ideally in a marketplace or e-commerce environment. - Deep understanding of relevant marketing and profitability metrics: ROAS, CAC, LTV, payback period. - Strong understanding of attribution logic (including last non-direct and data-driven approaches) and incrementality measurement. - Broad understanding of common marketing channels and their mechanisms - particularly SEO, SEM, and conversion funnels. - Ability to translate complex analyses into clear storylines and precise recommendations. - Very strong SQL skills; experience with modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, AppsFlyer, or comparable tools) is a plus.
